Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

This website uses Google Analytics to track website activity and visitor behavior. If you want to opt-out of being tracked by Google Analytics, you may use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google Analytics also collects data about visits to the website via the DoubleClick cookie and Floodlight tags. This information is being used to provide demographic and interest data about visitors to the website and to target online display advertisements on third-party websites. Using Google’s Ads Settings, visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads.

Promotional Offers from the American Seniors Housing Association. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own services, you can follow the link to unsubscribe from mailing lists at the bottom of email communication; send an e-mail to info@WhereYouLiveMatters.org stating your request to be removed from marketing lists. This opt-out does not apply to information provided to the American Seniors Housing Association as a result of entering into a residence agreement, providing health records or other transaction.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You have the right, at any time, to review and/or modify any of your personal information that we may hold. To do so, you may send us an e-mail at info@WhereYouLiveMatters.org, For legal compliance purposes, we may retain information about you in a legal archive until such time as we no longer have legal obligations with respect to such information. Our back-up files will maintain copies of your personal information until we complete normal operational overwriting of such files, but no longer than ninety (90) days from the date your information was removed from our primary files pursuant to your request. We reserve the right to contact former users from time to time.

Data Security
We secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure through physical, administrative and reasonable technological measures.  Although we will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the privacy of your personal information, transmissions over the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. We assume no responsibility or liability for disclosure of any of your personal information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our reasonable control. Our services rely on the Internet and mobile networks, which are not always secure. We work hard to protect our users from data breaches, but we cannot assure that the use of our services is secure.

Minors
No portion of the American Seniors Housing Association website, services and agency services is directed towards minors (individuals below the age of 18). The company does not solicit any information about minors, nor does it market to minors.
