We were looking for a facility for my 59 year old sister, who has early onset Alzheimer’s disease. White Oakes was the first facility that we looked at. The staff was awesome, informative, warm, and very thorough. We were able to get a tour of the facility when we stopped in, and my sister and I were beyond impressed! The facility is gorgeous, and there didn’t seem to be an end to the amenities that they offered. I would highly recommend this facility. In my sister’s circumstances, we realized that she would require a more assisted living based facility instead of independent living. It is only because of this that we opted to continue our search. Again, I would highly recommend White Oaks for those looking for a warm and wonderful independent living facility.

As a geriatric care manager, I advise families and seniors to talk to the current residents in the community before they move in. It's not just about the bells and whistles when it comes to finding a good place for your loved one; it's also about the heart and soul of the place. The first day I was there I had lunch with my client and a few residents. The residents spoke highly of the attentive staff and how well they were treated by everyone. When my client moved the executive director fix the shower door himself rather than waiting for maintenance to fix it later that day. They really go above and beyond what you would expect from other facilities! The only negative feedback I have is the community is undergoing renovations, but it is definitely something to overlook because remember- it's not about the bells and whistles this place clearly has the heart and soul for caring for residents.

My father in law loved it here. The facility was always clean and the staff is very kind. We were always pleased to hear about the activities my father in law did here. He liked his neighbors and enjoyed walking around outside. Maybe the decor is a bit dated and I can understand some of the comments about the food not being fantastic, but if you’re looking for quality staff and cleanliness it’s a great place to send your loved one.

My grandmother lives at this location and between the old facility owners and the new, there has never been an ounce of respect given to the tenants. The workers yell at the elderly residents and treat them as burdens. She has been relocated within the building multiple times without notice, when she’s asked for better food offering she’s been denied boldly and they were also made to stay in their units for months during the shutdown without any time frame given of when they could freely come and go. I’ve personally called to get some sense of clarity and answers to my frustrations, only to be met with attitude, unprofessional nature and complete avoidance of my concerns. This place is disgraceful and everything you wouldn’t want to see your loved ones go through. If you want to see your family spend the rest of their days in a place where they aren’t loved or cared about, white oaks is for you.
