I have worked at West Hills Health and Rehab for nearly 14 years. I can honestly say that we genuinely care about our residents, and we tailor our approach to meet their needs. I have great coworkers who are like family. My grandma was also here, so I can recommend personally and professionally.

My wife received the worst care possible. She went as long as two hours before receiving her pain meds, and the shortest 45 minutes with every excuse you could name for why she wasn’t taken care of properly the food that she was offered to eat. was not edible. People running West Hills health and rehabilitation have no regard for the patience. I personally experienced people sitting in wheelchairs, screaming for help and in rooms, screaming for help. You are wasting your time if you discuss any problems. Mia Anavi Director of nursing. Or.Tami Ballantine resident care manager, Denise Criscione executor Director. I personally wasted 45 to 50 minutes wasting my time trying to review the lack of care my wife had received.

The Case Manager here was excellent, but that is where it stops. There were beetles crawling up my Mom's wall when she first arrived. No one seemed to notice except for Mom and I, which I immediately advised Case Worker and they sprayed. Mom complained it took them 30 - 45 minutes for someone to check on her to take her to the bathroom (I was advised 15 20 minutes at the most). I timed them one day, and it was 30 minutes. Then the doctor decided to take Mom off her water pill (I am assuming so they didn't have to take her to the bathroom as often). I noticed Mom was having mood swings (very unlike her), then I noticed she was bloating up (retaining water), so I told them she needed to go back on her water pills. Mom became confused, and tried to get up on her own. She fell. They called and said they checked on her and were monitoring and taking her vitals every 15 minutes. I visited her and told them I strongly thought she had a UTI. Well she wound up in the hospital because she lost blood (was bruised from groin to thigh) requiring a pint of blood. I was advised she became confused due to too much water in her system, and questioned why she was taken off her water pill. I was advised by 2 doctors this was completely preventable. I have her in a new facility now and will be keeping closer tabs on her. I am pissed as hell at West Hills. She was supposed to be there for 2 - 3 weeks to rehab her ankle, not for them to kill her or sent her back to the hospital (where she was for 3 weeks).
