The professionalism, kindness and authenticity that my family and I were met with from Chloe Luce, Director of Sales at Vitalia of Mentor, warrants taking time to provide details and rate our Vitalia experience with her as 5 stars! If I could give more, I would! You see, I’ve visited nearly all senior living facilities in lake county and surrounding area within past couple of years. My father had Alzheimer’s and we needed to place him in memory care unit. I chose the best we could find and he passed away within the last year. Since his passing, my mom who is 88, has been doing her best to work through her grief and while she’s been happy living in a senior independent facility nearby, she’s wondered what she’ll do if she should need assistance down the road. I heard about Vitalia from friends and watched the building go up! It was the only place I hadn’t seen. I knew it offered 3 living experiences all on one campus so I scheduled a tour for my mom and we met Chloe. She was upbeat, self-assured and very knowledgeable. My mom was a bit reluctant to open up as this reminded her immediately of touring places for my dad. She wanted to see the place but was definitely not in a social mood on the first visit. I was very impressed with how Chloe recognized this and dealt with my mom’s comments and questions. It was with the utmost respect and the tour proved to be very valuable. My mom commented how much she liked Chloe and how she spoke to her and didn’t try to “sell” her. I agree. Vitalia sells itself! No other facility compares. Chloe is wonderful at engaging people, understanding the emotions that come with this type of move and being available to help work through the mental process that comes with this decision making. Within a few days of our first tour, my mom wanted to go back. She said she wanted Chloe to show us more and we asked for suggestions of best placement. This time several family members came too. Chloe wasn’t the least bit concerned and in fact was as gracious and kind as ever. She spoke to us all and answered questions but I loved that my mom was her priority. She directed her attention and questions to her, not us. So often when I’ve visited other places, the directors dismissed my parents and only spoke to family. My mom was seen and heard and felt valued from the get go! Chloe listened to my mom’s wants and needs and suggested some suites to look at. We all fell in love with the same one and my mom is beyond excited to move in. I have zero hesitancy in writing review this early on. We’ve since met Joanna who was also very kind, caring and helpful. We’ve experienced the restaurant style dining and not only was the food delicious, the staff was also wonderful and welcoming. This isn’t by accident. Kudos to whomever is doing the hiring. You’ve put together a top-notch crew and I’m most grateful. So grateful my mom is getting in now. It’s very reassuring to know, should she need to transition to assisted living, she can do so at this same campus and will already be familiar with everyone. The amount and quality of amenities & activities is far more than other places in the area. The facility is aesthetically beautiful and the pricing is fantastic!.So much value for less than many of the surrounding, older facilities. Don’t wait! We moved my mom from another senior living community in Mayfield Heights back in March. My mom had just lost my father the month prior and Chloe and Bella showed her a lot of love during the transition. The facility is beautiful, the food is tasty but what sets Vitalia Mentor above their competitors is the team of people that they have built. The staff here really put their hearts in to their jobs and try to make the residents feel at home.
