My husband broke his femur and had hip replacement surgery. After leaving the hospital he spent 20 days at Touchmark on the South Hill. The nurses caring for him as well as the aids were wonderful. Their PT and OT professionals really helped him and prepared him to go home. I also appreciate all the help and support from the staff including our social worker, Brandy. This was a safe, wonderful, caring place for my husband to be and it’s beautiful too. We highly recommend this place.

Spent the last several days here visiting my mom Easter and her 95th birthday. The staff in the Devonshire section which has nurses and more of a specialty care, are always smiling and pleasant. They have their own dining on their TV room and security that only allows patients to come and go with family members or staff only through coded entries only. the entertainment here is quite varied and numerous as well as other events the occupants can attend. I am in a large very quiet sitting room with double sofas and tables and good lighting. It is very quiet and Serene here and is one of many rooms and social meeting areas that they have throughout his complex. they have homes on the exterior of this complex 4 people pooping get around very well but in the future would require greater assistance in doors at the main facility. the facilities seemed very well maintained as well as a restrooms throughout. The jam they have is comfortable and has a pretty good variety of equipment. They have a coffee shop the sandwiches cookies main level. They have a front desk that staffed all the time. they have plenty of parking and several outside areas front and back and inner along the sides with plants and flowers Etc. My hat is off to the staff. Jesus cares. God bless and happy Easter Day to all. Mm

My mom was a patient at this Skilled Nursing Facility Rehabilitation for a month until my sister and I pulled her for lack of communication, options, and resources from in-house social worker Brittany C. and staff . What a horrible experience. You get an illusion and/or facade that this place is second to none from all the landscaping but don't be duped. Staff was unfriendly and empathetic to an 82 year woman with slight Dementia and at times showed signs of Alzheimer's. Weekly updates were late and compromising. She was told she had to leaving SNF due to plateauing in physical therapy and being uncompliant. Her case was brought to Acentra, a program to protect Medicare beneficiaries. Her case was won and noting in-house provider failed in numerous findings. Getting to the point, I pulled my mom out of this SNF and found another with better reviews and a sense of community. Please do your research and fight and advocate for your parents who none the less can't fight for themselves or understand the process.

My father spent the last 6 months of his lfe at Touchmark after we moved him from another facility that lacked adequate staff, especially after 5pm. The shift was well worth it. They have 24/7 staff on the assisted living floor, and they gave wonderful care to my father. My father was high maintenace, as he tended to overuse the emergency care button, but they remained sympathetic and caring throughout. This is a place where your loved one will be cared for and safe when the need arises. The presence of on-site skilled nursing is a bonus. My father had a brief stay there too, and the staff were awesome.
