Watermark is a beautiful building with a gorgeous interior and delightful staff especially, Shannon Lee who checked in on us and made us feel right at home. We had an amazing time, with all our friends to celebrate a family members birthday, it was such a lovely experience. Chief Macks provided delectable food! And he was hearty and sweet. Watermark provided such great service and amazing food. Wonderful space + amazing staff!!!!

The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights is not prepared, trained, staffed or managed to my safety standards for our mother who lived there for 2 years from 2022-2024. She was in assisted living. The building is pretty but it’s the wizard of oz. Behind closed doors they are incapable of medicine management. They forgot, lost, and dropped her medicine often and denied it. They went through 4 wellness directors in 2 years! They put our mother’s health in jeopardy to the point where we hired health care aides to track and monitor all her meds 24/7. And they still messed it up often. All our emails and calls and meetings in person and on the phone didn’t work. They will tell you it’s all a staff issue it’s not. They are only focused on their bottom line. The medicine management part of their business must be shut down. Send your loved one if they are well and able to manage for themselves. When they are older they will need you to pay a lot of attention to this. Food is terrible too - they take your money and don’t even buy quality ingredients. There are other families who have moved their parent out of there to other facilities. Our Mom is now happy elsewhere in NYC with excellent care. No need to monitor their work. They are who they say they are!

Beautiful setting in an historic and stunning part of Brooklyn — amenities are amazing : pool, gym, spa, movie theater, wrap around roof deck. But care staff is what sets watermark apart. My mom has never been cared for at this level of kindness and respect. Also while there have been issues this admin team is wildly impressive. Here to make things right. I’m so happy mom is here. She’s never been happier or healthier.

My father enjoys living at The Watermark which is the least institutional place I’ve seen of its kind. He’s enjoyed activities like Water Aerobics, Poetry Club and Physical therapy and of course he loves the well prepared meals and gorgeous rooftop. He does need his own companions as the hard working staff always seems to be stretched thin. Kellie is tremendous and does the work of several people. The Wellness Office has improved, but response time can be slow. It’s a special community. Very kind staff and lovely residents.
