We had a wonderful time visiting our Nam (Mom, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother) today on her birthday. We especially enjoyed the extra love and concern of Danielle Curtis, who talked extensively with us about mom and knew so much about her likes/dislikes, and needs. Thank you for your loving care for our Nam. It is appreciated more than we can say ❤️

So my 99 year old grandmother what's in the memory care unit for less than a week. Because of the care that she got and what we felt was abuse and medical neglect we removed her from their care. I will say that there were a couple of caregivers that were amazing and very loving but the director and co director were horrible. We feel that our expectations are the normal expectations of anyone who has a loved one that needs this type of care and facility. We wanted a safe environment and clean environment along with proper medical care. When I say medical care I do not mean a doctor's care. I mean just basic overseeing of the person's condition. When they went to draw blood on my grandmother and I pulled up her sleeve she had bruises and fingernail Mark indentions in her arm. When we addressed it with the co director and director we were given many different reasons except the obvious. Before I even said anything to them I approached 2 other caregivers and was told what they thought it looked like. It was exactly what I thought. So when taken to the head of the place and told that she said oh well they aren't trained for that basically and I thought to myself but they are trying to care for these people and recognized abuse but you're saying because you've been here longer and you're the director or co-director that you know everything. Basically, she put it off as them not knowing what they were talking about. To sum it up I will just say I would never again take my grandmother to Waterford. Everything that you have read negative about it is absolutely true and even if they respond to my post or to anyone it is just a way to make it look like they care when they don't. To Becky and Kiki thank you for looking out for my grandmother. I'm sure there are others who did but I don't have your names. I will say that we are a family where someone was there every day sometimes a couple of days so it's not like we were just putting her there and never going to check on her. I hope they shut this place down. Please if you want your loved one to be safe do not send them here. Any questions feel free to reach out to me.

My mother and I got locked in the facility as we tried to exit at 5:30 pm. There was no staff at the front desk and no nurses or other staff in the hallway. I had to leave my mother at the front while I walked around the building looking for a staff member. I finally found a staff member serving dinner in the cafeteria. She was able to unlock the door to let us put. It really was a horrible experience for us after we had just finished having a beautiful visit with my Aunt. Truly, large signs should show the visitation hours. There should always be staff at the front desk. Thank you, Ronette Jacobs

The Waterford seams to be constantly under staff. While my brother-in-law was there there was always trash on the floor and the room smelled. He is now at another assisted living facility close by and those problems don't exist there. Rarely do management return phone calls and my emails were ignored. My brother-in-law left there in mid May and still has not received money that is due to him.
