The Villages of Windcrest

i have been working at Villages of Windcrest for approximately 6 months. I retired from childcare after 41 years and had a large void in my life missing the caregiving. i absolutely love working with the residents and my coworkers. the residents are so loving and welcoming! The staff work well together, and management tries to accommodate employees and residents needs. No one can make or break your day, it's all up to each of us to make our day what it is, good or bad, no one do it for you. I am extremely happy working here and would definitely recommend Villages to both Residents and Employees. Do what you love , and Love what you do!!! ❤️ I Love my job!

While visiting a family member at the Village’s of Windcrest, I was very impressed with how friendly the staff were. Especially the management person I talked too. She was extremely friendly and answered all my questions she was very patient and kind. I would definitely place my family member in her care and the care of her team.

I recently toured The Villages of Windcrest to determine if it would be a suitable fit for my mother. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly with smiles and friendly welcomes from the staff. I was particularly impressed by the diverse schedule of activities planned throughout the month for the residents, with the added bonus that family and friends can join in the fun! I instantly felt a connection with the place. During my visit, I was invited to participate in their "Glamorous Granny's Day," and it was a blast! I had the pleasure of helping with nail care and giving refreshing spa facials. It was clear that the residents were truly enjoying themselves. The Villages of Windcrest is not your typical assisted living facility. It’s an extraordinary community where residents are treated as if they are living their best life every day!

The care team I had working along side me, the residents, and the families were amazing. The ED means well but has a team of management that are more focused on drama and emotions instead of doing what's right. They push out the better workers when they speak up and don't take input from anyone but themselves. I hope the ED gets a better team. I hope the residents and families catch a break and get better staff. Kitchen staff was amazing and most the caregivers/med techs. Most if not all the issues were with management and allowing things to go on that should not be allowed anywhere. Sadly this goes on at most places like this. I hope the best for the ED and the residents/families there. I made a lot of close relationships with families there and they will always be family to me. They were sad of my departure as was I but when you have an RCC who cares about herself and management that allows her to push employees out then there's nothing that can be done. Tara clean that place up and do right for the residents/families/staff. Get management that care because you deserve a way better team. Tara was great and is doing what she can.
