If you have a loved one please be vigilant and visit all the time. Some nurses are worthless. My dad was having a hard time breathing and they dismissed it. When i called the nurse told me he was fine. He was not. She acted irritated and put out. He ended going to st pats. Her aplogize and excuses for her behavior was not accepted by any of my family. The food is unedible, not to mention i ordered food for my dad and instead of them taking the food to him someone decided to take it upon themselves to eat it. So he did not get dinner that night. I read all the reviews, all positive are workers and i am appalled that the owner wrote her own review on the facility. There was some amazing people there but overall their care isnt worth a darn unless you constantly advocate for your family member. Beware taking your loved ones there. Many times i walked in they sat and talked while my dad.pressed the call button. Instead of amswering it they continued their convos until i went and said something. You know its bad when they have to resort workers to write positive reviews. ADVOCATE ADVOCATE if you have to put a loved in there. And so sad the owner gave herself 5 star ! Who does that to your own business. ?? Shame on you Village for not taking a patient seriously when he said he couldnt breathe then lie to me on the phone but when i show up the ambulance and fire truck was there. You should not have a job for your lack of dismissing my father. Shame on you Village.

This amazing establishment took excellent care of our 94-year-old mom recently as she recovered from a broken femur. We can’t thank them enough. The staff was incredibly attentive (I’ll commend each of them in a separate letter to the executive director). No task was too difficult for them, and they performed each task with love and a smile. I never felt that they felt rushed or overburdened, but rather that they had all the time in the world for our mom. She needed much help getting to the bathroom, as well as dressing and eating, but there was never a hint of frustration on the part of these caring employees. Their system for meds/food/physical therapy/enrichment, etc. seemed very organized, not at all haphazard. We never felt as though our mother was falling through the cracks. They even gave her hand massages with lavender lotion. I simply couldn’t get over it. The facility was clean and tidy, and the food was balanced and appealing. One very impressive and comforting aspect was the warm welcome we received at the front desk every time we arrived, from Joe Chapman, Reception Manager and Executive Assistant. We had many questions, never having experienced such a place, and he always took time to answer them, all the while caring for residents who of course also had needs! Thank you Joe! We couldn’t be more grateful, and recommend the Village Health and Rehab Center wholeheartedly.

Beware of the Executive Director’s and Social Services Director’s lack of integrity if they try to lure you into having your loved one live or work at The Village Health and Rehabilitation. Residents and new admits frequently complain that they "don't care about me here." This sentiment is sadly evident in many ways, too numerous to list here. If you have no other choice but to do business with The Village Health and Rehabilitation, please be cautious and verify everything they say.

Village rehab staff doesn't acknowledge their call lights they ignore and neglect patients for hours and leave them in their own excrement. No bathing. Elder abuse. Staff humiliate the elderly leaving them in unsanitary conditions laying in their beds with no assistance to move. This place is absolutely disgusting it will leave both you and your relative traumatized. Neglectful and dehumanizing to the elderly.
