15 Sept 2021 (5 Stars) My father has been on property for 4+ years. First in an independent apartment (while my mom was in the nursing home), and since Feb 2021, in the Assisted Living Building. The grounds are wonderfully kept, year round - including snow removal in the winter. I have found the staff at all levels (management, nursing, caregivers, activities, finance, maintenance, etc.) to be professional, helpful and friendly. I have reccomend other seniors I know to move there. I'm grateful for the care my parents have received at this complex, during the varying stages of their health decline.

So sad to write this review! I'm writing on behalf of my wonderful mother who had to move out recently. Living Care was THE best in Yakima until it's recent "affiliation" with a company called Human Good out of California. Care, service, quality, and compassion has suffered greatly. REALLY do your research folks before choosing this place, especially if you're looking for a nonprofit option with a Christian focus. Talk to residents and staff, don't just buy the sales pitch.

I never thought I would want to live in a retirement community. So much emphasis is put on keeping seniors in their homes as long as possible. But if people only knew the benefits of living in community, with having our own space yet many opportunities to mingle with others, perhaps more would consider The Terraces at Summitview, and not wait until they are too old or disabled to be able to benefit from all the activities available to us every week, let alone not being lonely or isolated.

I had to find a place where my mom (who needed nursing home care) could have my father close by (he only needed an apartment - independent living). Talk about hitting a home run, this complex has been absolutely wonderful. Wish I had found this complex 5 years earlier (when mom & dad moved to an Assisted Living facility). After mom passed (she outlived her life expectancy by double), dad wanted to stay at this location because of all the outstanding services they offer plus the friendly neighbors and staff (Nurses / Support / Office / Maintenance / Life Enhancement People / etc.). I've recommended to 5 different family and close friends to locate here, as their parents health declined and they were looking for care. I WOULD NOT GO ANYPLACE ELSE IN THE YAKIMA AREA!!
