The Rivers at Maryland Farms is managed by Bickford Senior Living. Bickford was founded in 1991 to care for our own mother. What started out as a family need has blossomed into our life’s work. We’re still family-owned and operated today.

I visited Rivers at Maryland Farms a couple of weeks ago and I must say I was so impressed. It’s such a beautiful place, and everyone seems so friendly and caring. The director, Stacy, answered all of my questions and talked with me about all of the renovations that have been going on. I was impressed that she took the time with me that she did. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, caring place for their parent to call home…❤️

After much research, my wife and I decided on The Rivers five months ago. Initially, my mother was hesitant. I am happy to say it only took a week for her to become acclimated . She has mentioned the activities, which are in abundance; there seems to be something going on anytime of day. She loves the girls card games after dinner! The facility is very professional and caring. The woman in charge, Stacey, seems to take an interest in everyone, which is very personalized. I had dinner one evening with my mother, and the food was amazing; I spoke with Chef Mark, the dining director, and he let me tour the kitchen with him. Everything is fresh and made from scratch. She absolutely loves the menus!

This is a beautiful home with all the new renovations. It’s welcoming and peaceful. All the residents seemed very happy with big smiles. The staff is amazing and the new director Stacy Martinez is fabulous. Ms.Martinez very insightful of all that is done there she really makes you feel comfortable and at ease. It’s hard to place a family member in a facility, not knowing how they will be treated and cared for. Ms. Martinez and her staff make this step a lot less stressful. They have all sorts of activities going on and music playing. It’s just a very cheerful place to send someone you love for the very best care.

The Rivers has been a gift for my mother and her husband. One is in the Memory Care unit and the other is in the Assisted Living unit. The Rivers has made it possible for them to spend their days together and the staff managers, nurses, and aides have been kind in caring for my mother. Cassandra, the Memory Care manager, has been especially wonderful; it always makes me happy to see her when I visit and she is very responsive when I call with a question or concern.
