My mother had been in two different assisted living facilities before we found The Pointe at Cedar Park. The resident to staff ratio was near perfect to ensure she received the extra assistance she needed outside the routine med intervals. All of the staff went above and beyond and the employee turnover was low compared to the other two places. Jessica and her team were excellent in communicating with us and always helping to thinks outside the box for solutions. They worked closely with hospice care and we felt mom was in a safe and caring environment. Many thanks to all the ladies that looked after Mom!

The Pointe at Cedar Park was recommended to us by two experienced home-health nurses. We visited several assisted living facilities before settling on The Pointe. We have been delighted with our decision to move our family member there! She is content, eats well, engages in the many activities and, most importantly, receives excellent medical and rehabilitative services. The facility is clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The size of the single-story facility makes it feel like a family, among the staff as well as the residents. The staff is welcoming and compassionate - they even walk her dog!

Thank you all at The Pointe for taking such great care of our Dad, John S Barron, these past 8 years. Our family knows how much he was loved by everyone. We appreciate the fact that you all went to great extremes to ensure his welfare at all times. Dad was always worried that he would be "warehoused," but our family and the staff made sure he was taken care of everyday during his stay with you. We would like to send a special thank you to Jessica Garza, the Executive Director, Jaime, Cecelia, Wendy and so many others who have taken care of him throughout his Parkinson's disease. Many of you and numerous residents, to include Deane and Tommy, loved Dad and provided much needed support throughout the difficult times with which he was faced. When our family cleaned out his apartment, every staff member came by Dad's room to express their condolences. They knew Dad and our family so well and knew how difficult it was for us to take care of his belongings and close out this last chapter in Dad's life. Jessica, thank you for showing up for Dad's services at Beck Funeral Home. That really meant a lot to us when you showed up. We are also glad you came up to the podium and spoke of the stories of Dad, especially the "respect" story. That story is between us and The Pointe staff. We considered you all "extended family " the whole time Dad was in residence. MSgt Stew Barron, you are now with Mom again, Diana Barron (your Prom Queen.)

My mother has been a resident of The Pointe at Cedar Park (not to be confused with The Point) since April 2018. She was not thrilled to be moved from an Independent facility into an Assisted Living Facility, but the staff has been very accommodating to her needs and tries to get her involved in all the activities. It’s well maintained and seems to be a good fit for her. I live out of state but travel to see her every 6-8 weeks. I call her everyday and sometimes, as a result of those calls, I have to call the front desk to ask someone to check on her, go hang up her phone, turn off the incessant beeping from her portable oxygen machine, or figure out how to turn on her tv. When Lisa answers the phone I can actually hear her smile on the other end. She is always so friendly and quick to tell me she’s going to run right down and check on my mom. If she can’t go herself she’ll send someone else. She’s even called me from my mother’s room to tell me she’s rebooted her phone and checked all the cables, etc. She puts my mind at ease when I can’t be there. Wendy, the Administrator, answers all my calls and when I bring a concern to her attention she works hard to resolve it to my satisfaction. Because of her my mother was able to get a much better portable oxygen tank from her Hospice provider that is easier for her to handle. That was above and beyond and more than I expected. I would recommend this facility if you have a loved one needing to transition to an assisted living arrangement.
