I was not going to write a review but decided that I was going to. I got hired in January for the CNA class that they offer and have a job after the state exam. The nurse that ran it was Jo Kissel. Did good the 1st week and then to the skills lab. I struggled a little bit remembering some of the steps for each siill. I am a veteran and have anxiety and it takes me a little more time than others to earn and retain information and told them that. Then unfortunately I got COVID and I could not finish the class so was put into the Feb class. They were nice and paid me from the very beginning. Again did well the first week for lecture. Went back to the skills lab. I thought I did much better from January. I even asked Jo and she said I was also, asked her this on a Thursday. Friday I arrived early and was told I could not stay anymore and was let go. Even after asking the day before about my progress. I even told her multiple times that I would come in for extra help. I believe that they had no faith in me passing the state exam. Before the class I was in Jo had a 100% success rate with everyone passing state. Jo and the staff didn't believe in me passing the exam. If for whatever reason I didn't pass it I would screw up her 100% success rate. I was totally apauled by the way I was treated. It makes me wonder how they treat the residents that stay there. They don't know what a kind and loving person that they fired. I know 100% with a little bit of help I would have done great.

Fun outings and entertainment, clean facilities, caring staff and great volunteers. Oh, and the food is awesome too.

Fantastic facility! My grandmother lived here years ago in The Palms. My father was at Regal and just moved to Cypress and my mother has been in Cypress for over a year. The staff is amazing and takes great care of both my mother and father. The place is spotless, the food is top notch, there are activities everyday! They take personal care and go the extra mile. They know everyone by name and the names of family members. This is a 5 star facility and by FAR the BEST in the area. I would recommend The Palms to anyone who wants the best care for their family members!! When it’s my time, I HOPE I get to live at The Palms!

I have just returned from a 3 week plus stay at Sabal Palms. On the whole the nursing care was very good. They had some excellent staff who made up for the very few poor ones. Cleanliness was very good on the whole with a few lapses here and there but there was no smell to the place; a huge difference from a lot of nursing homes. The therapy departmeent was unequivocally excellent. The therapy staff were constantly friendly and cheerful;. making therapy fun and not a chore. The main point of failure was the food. I think all the residents agreed how bad the food was and many residents lost weight while living there.
