The Monarch at Henderson

Our overall experience with Poet's Walk in Henderson, NV, adjacent to Sun City MacDonald Ranch, has been outstanding. It is incredible how close they are to Sun City Macdonald Ranch in the Horizon Ridge and Valle Verde complex. Everyone from the Executive Director Magali Ortea to the cleaning staff is fabulous. They provide exceptional care, and they treat you like family. In addition, the nurses, caregivers, front desk staff, support staff, chefs, and everyone are excellent. The level of care has been perfect; they check on each patient at least six times daily. They are very loving and make everyone feel so welcome. We were fortunate to be referred by a long-time friend whose wife is there and highly recommended Poet's Walk. From day one, they have exceeded our expectations. Thank you to everyone at Poet's Walk; you are the best!!!

The people at Poet's Walk are amazing who were very compassionate and supportive during my father-in-law's brief stay. I cannot thank Tanya, Teiona and Ashley along with the other staff members enough that were super nice to my dad while he was there, taking care of him like their own parent. It is nice to have people who care and take pride in their jobs. Thank you so much for everything you did for dad, it will never be forgotten.

Have nothing but praise , mom has only been a resident for a month but it really began a month before as the the director and staff helped so much with arranging everything needed working with hospice and all questions and concerns we have and had . All the staff r friendly and are willing to answer any and all questions . We r there almost every day and see staff constantly working with residents . Is it pricey yes but it shows , so very fortunate to have this memory care facility near us and all the do , highly recommend this facility .

I’ve had my Grandpa in Poet’s Walk for nearly two years. With all full time care facilities, it has areas that they are really strong in, and areas that they are continuing to improve in. My Grandpa is happy though, and he is still conversational and gives me reports on his care partners and other residents that he interacts with. The admin team works really hard to foster a work environment where their care partners are encouraged to spend time on their shift sitting with residents, playing games, or watching an old movie together. This is 5-star worthy. There is one area that the team at Poet’s Walk is still working at improving, and that is keeping the laundry/trashes emptied over and over all day long, so that the facility looks and smells as fresh as it actually is. The important part of my experience, if you yourself are looking for a facility for a loved one, is that my Grandpa is treated well, and Mark, their director, moves mountains to keep finding the best of the best to hire, and he really does find staff that will take good care of the residents. The doctor is great, Cory the head of maintenance is great, and will take time to try to help residents fix their belongings, the kitchen does a pretty good job, and they have activities going all day long, every day. Poet’s Walk has a good feel, friendly staff, and treat their residents well.
