When it opened in 1926, the Algonquin Hotel was well known for its elegance and hospitality. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, it’s just as accommodating as The Kensington—a beautiful home for seniors since 1989.

Pricing
Starting Price Base rates start at $2,295 for a studio apartment.
Monthly rates are determined by suite size and include all residential services, amenities and basic wellness services. Prior to moving in, individuals are professionally assessed to determine if any additional care is needed to live safely and with dignity at The Kensington. Base Rates Base Rates includes all amenities and residential services such as 24-hour security and on-site care staff, daily meals, weekly housekeeping and laundry, transportation, maintenance, cable TV and utilities, plus our extensive activity program. In addition, residents on the Independent plan receive basic wellness services. These include nurse consultations, vital sign checks, help with scheduling appointments, daily monitoring, and simple medication management or personal assistance. Base rates start at $2,295 for a studio apartment. Levels of Care Additional health and personal care services such as medication administration, bathing or dressing assistance and more are also available as needed to residents who require such services. For those in need of care, an assessment is performed by our in-house nurse, in conjunction with your private physician if you wish. Each service required is assigned a point value, which is based on the time and expertise required to provide the service. We offer four care levels. Please ask for pricing. Upon move-in, regular follow-up assessments are used to update the service plan, which ensures residents are getting appropriate care at all times. Other Cost Considerations As a licensed assisted living residents, The Kensington qualifies for most long-term care insurance benefits. In addition, some residents may be eligible for assistance through the state funded programs. Veterans benefits are also accepted. A one-time Community Fee of $1500 will hold a room for a period of 15 days and is not refundable after move-in. A $500 deposit adds you to the waiting list for our community and is applied to your first month’s rent. This deposit is fully refundable if a move does not occur. The Residency Agreement is an annual lease with option of 30-day notice to terminate. Additional fees may apply for enhanced care, and staff attendant for appointments.
