River Oaks

I wanted to take the time to say that River Oaks was a great place to visit. As I started out my search for my mom I started my visits with River Oaks. First let me say that Linda was amazing and very caring and has a passion for her job and it shows. Miss Sharon the chef is as sweet as they come. I loved the layout and the rooms are played out in much different ways than the standard box looking rooms that you see everywhere else. The courtyard space is beautiful and some rooms have direct access to the courtyard. They have long tenured staff which is great for these facilities. If you’re looking for a place for your older folks I would for sure take a tour with Linda. Although my mom did not pick River Oaks she really loved the space and the staff. My mom just had a feeling about the place she picked and it came with a very small % of things she wanted.

Our visit was truly a heartwarming experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by the staff. The facility was clean, bright, and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and visitors. The caregivers were attentive and genuinely seemed to care for each resident, making sure everyone was comfortable and engaged. I was especially touched by the range of activities provided—they were creative, stimulating, and catered to different interests, keeping the residents happy and active. The residents I met were friendly, and it was wonderful to see them enjoying their time, whether chatting with others or participating in group events. It’s clear that your facility puts a lot of effort into making this place a true community for the elderly. I left with a positive impression and a warm feeling, knowing that the residents are well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones.

Although our family was unable to move our mother to River Oaks at this time, we did take a couple of tours of the facility and talked to Michelle, Summer, Linda, dining room and activity staff, and others. Among our many observations it was easy to see that the many residents were active and happy, the facility was clean and organized, and the rooms were very nice and inviting. It did not have an institutional feeling at all. It felt like mom could make a comfortable home there. River Oaks is our choice when the time is right to move our mother.

While touring potential assisted living facilities for a relative, I visited this one and noticed a few things that made me feel at ease. The RD demonstrated patience and exceptional kindness toward one of the residents, which reassured me that any family would feel comfortable with such care. The staff welcomed me warmly and were more than willing to answer all of my questions.
