If I could give it less than one star, I would. My mom was released from the hospital after a partial hip replacement. At that point she could not walk without assistance and required a wheelchair and walker. They did not have a walker ready for her on Saturday at the time of admission. The nurse said it might be Tuesday before they could get one. They knew she was coming and were totally unprepared. Quaker Hill is run down and dirty. There were dead bugs in the window sill, the foundation is cracking, and the blinds hang askew. Everything was dingy. There was a large puddle of liquid in the dining area. No one cleaned it up. But, the worst thing is that when they went to admit my mother they were going to put her in a single room that WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED. The woman whose room it was, was in the recliner in the front part of the room and the little area behind the curtain that contained the bed was where they expected my mom to stay. There was no way to even access it with the wheelchair. The nurse did not even know how to crank up the head of the bed. The nurse call button was hanging from the curtain out of reach of the bed. There was no phone in the room. No way for Mom to call out or us to call her except from the nurses' station. Needless to say, there was no way we were going to leave our mom there. We marched her right back out to the car and brought her home.

My 94 year old mother in law was being discharged from the hospital and her doctor recommended 3 to 5 days of rehab. I called and spoke with Casey regarding her admission. Later today Casey called to tell she would be required to pay $100 a day to meet her deductible. However, corp. office is requiring her to pre-pay for a 20 day stay or $2,000 up front before they will admit her for treatment. Casey was very polite but was uncertain why Corp. was requiring this pre-payment. Puzzling as my mother in law had service there a couple years prior and this wasn’t required. Very disappointed as this made absolutely no sense.

Mom was only there one month before she passed but I couldn’t have asked for better care for her. They genuinely cared for her and met all her needs as well as mine and my family’s needs. Top notch nursing care!! I can’t thank them enough!
