Ailene A. After our tour, my husband and I were very impressed with Peninsula Pointe. My mom, May, however was unsure and reluctant. After one week, when she was unable to find reliable help in her home she asked us to sign her on. Even on the day before move-in, she was reluctant. However, no more than a week after move-in there was an amazing transformation. She was happily chatting with new found friends. She was more energetic. Although initially, she said she would not be interested in any of the activities, we found her in the music room, tapping her feet and clapping to music. She said she went to the exercise class and was looking forward to attending this regularly. When I told her there was a class where she can learn more about her iPhone she was eager to attend this. She expressed her relief of not having to worry about getting groceries, cooking, cleaning, laundry, transportation, etc. She has been excitedly telling her friends about her new home and inviting them over. All of this is a big thank you to the wonderful staff of Peninsula Pointe. Chris, who gave us the tour has an energetic and positive personality that brightens the mood all around. Desiree is warm and made us feel very welcome. During the intake interview with Camille, May started to come out of her shell and became more comfortable. Camille is helpful with setting up the medical aspects. Diane was answering our questions and helping us navigate the move-in process even before we met her. Erica was very helpful in setting up the computer paperwork and answering more of our questions. Jonathan is friendly and fun to chat with. He answered our questions regarding the available transportation. Christina assists May with showering. We no longer worry about her falling as she has done in the past. May’s room sparkled after cleaning. When May forgot her room key, she pushed a button, and she got assistance. Same when she did not know how to adjust the thermostat. The dining staff are very polite and accommodating. All of this is not saying enough about the amazing staff at Peninsula Pointe who work together as a team, and are always available to help even on their days off.

This past Friday Nov.8, I went in to the Peninsula Pointe location in Rolling Hills Estates & was graciously greeted by Chris Vargas, the Community Relations Director & he was nothing short of spectacular in his professionalism, he thoroughly went over all the options & provided me with all the information ℹ needed to help me with my search for suitable residency. Chris is very passionate about his work & his positivity rubbed off on me & my dear friend who accompanied me on this excellent tour of the various accommodations. Chris is definitely a credit to the corporation & makes you want to let your circle of friends know about Pen.Pointe who are also searching & I feel so inspired to spread the word because of Mr. Vargas' contagious enthusiasm Thank You so Much for an unforgettable experience! Warm Regards, George Thomas

We began learning about elder care options in the PV area this past year as we prepared for our loved one's upcoming transition to assisted living. Peninsula Pointe as a Cogir Senior Living facility has the combination of qualities we were looking for. Residents are always regarded as community members and are treated with respect, dignity, and delight. Staff is focused entirely on making the community a positive experience and comfortable place to call home. Their executive director, Desiree, sets the tone and sets the bar as she displays her passion for her senior residents and making the Pointe a warm, loving, and beautiful place to live. The facility is new, very well thought out, and designed with great attention to detail executed throughout with beautiful coastal and Southern California styling and decorations. Restaurant style dining, full industrial kitchen with a dedicated chef, the Revere memory care program, group activities, fitness room with classes, media room, common areas facilitating group activities and interaction are all available to the residents for their enjoyment and to help build community. I highly recommend the philosophy of care at the Pointe and their commitment in bringing it to fruition.

Desiree and her staff go above and beyond to assist families with transitioning their loved ones into assisted living and memory care. They are caring, knowledgeable, and respectful every step of the way. They become like family to the resident and extended family members. The facility is beautiful with spacious rooms, classy decor, wonderful services, all in a gorgeous hillside setting that feels like you're at a mountain retreat. I highly recommend Peninsula Pointe to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care. You won't find a better place!
