My parents are moving into a beautiful two-bedroom two bathroom apartment with kitchenette in Mountain View Gardens. We couldn't be happier. The community and Diana, their marketing and move-in coordinator have done everything they can to make this a smooth transition, including picking my parents up for lunch and touring the community several times. Since we live very far away, Diana is coordinating all the aspects of their move including downsizing from their home. My parents can't wait to move in, especially my mother who will enjoy no longer having to grocery shop, plan and cook meals. The three meals per day will make us feel so much better that they are now getting the things they need to continue to live on their own. We love the amenities and the community is immaculate and very friendly!

I have been living here since Sep 2021 and although expensive it is worth every cent! The staff is very friendly and truly interested in the residents. The meal servers are excellent and also interesting to watch. They march into the dinning hall before every meal and take food orders without using notes! The residents applaud them as they march in. They take as many as six to eight orders at a time without notes. Meals are served in the proper way which makes me feel I am in a high class Victorian restaurant. The activity director does the work of dozens of people …..ok maybe only two to three, but as a former supervisor, I don't recall having anyone work as hard and enjoy it. All meals and room cleaning is included in the price which makes my total outlay of funds less than when I lived in my home. I now no longer have to pay for utility bills, property taxes, food and other incidentals I had in my home. Residents have freedom of movement and enter and leave anytime of the day or night, if they have no serious handicaps. Visitors are also welcome to see their love ones and can even stay in the same rooms or rent a room in the facility, This includes eating with them in the cafeteria.

My father loved Mountain View Gardens for the two years he lived there! He finally required more care than outside home health agencies could give and I moved him to assisted living, but he asked me daily to move him back to Mountain View Gardens. I was always impressed with the cleanliness and elegance of the grounds and furnishings, with the chef-prepared food choices, and with the helpfulness and friendliness of the managers and the entire staff. The atmosphere at Mountain View Gardens is far different from an assisted living or nursing facility. Described as "gracious independent living," the residents are at a mental and physical level where they are still very interested in meaningful social interaction, especially helping one another and making newcomers feel at home. They appear in the public areas well-dressed and groomed (most of the ladies with nice outfits, coiffed hair and jewelry), and there is always a lively buzz of conversation in the dining room. The activity director is wonderful and works hard to make things varied and interesting. Even the driver of their free bus service plays the guitar and sings for them with great talent in between times of other music group performances. I told people it was like my dad was living on a cruise ship.....
