I can say from experience that other assisted living centers need to take notice of MorningStar of Beaverton! Incredibly warm and welcoming (& clean!) environment, offering compassionate care and attention to detail every step of the way, from the business office to the amazing care team (every one!) to the helpful support services. If I could rate them higher than 5-stars, I would. MS was an answer to prayer and our family is beyond grateful!

The Most Caring and Attentive Staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and know on a first name basis! Be sure to check out the MS dining room! Food is exceptional and Chef John runs a tight ship in the kitchen. Servers are fun and friendly and engage with the resident seniors like they are family. From the concierge desk to Med Techs this is a thriving community of senior life. Something for everyone here: holiday celebrations , social events , a cool movie theater, musical guests, arts & crafts, a beauty salon, a gym, and so much more!! Right now, the place is all dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day! You’ll love the tour!!

My mom was in memory care for nearly 3 years. I wouldn't say we had the greatest experience. The first 6 months she was there was during COVID and they allowed us to meet with her outside which we appreciated. She was confused and angry and wanted to be home with my Dad and it would have been horrible for her to be alone without her family. Once we were able to be with her inside we were able to meet the staff and they were all very nice and caring. Diana was the med tech and was always so sweet to everyone. My dad visited regularly (in the beginning once a day and the last year twice a day to help with feeding). He would ask about how much she had for meals when he wasn't there. For some reason Diana took offense to this. To the point where she avoided my parents at all costs. If my dad was there she wouldn't give my mom her meds until after he left. My dad would ask her why she was acting this way and she would say she was too busy and turn away from him. He spoke with Devon who was the manager there and he said he would talk to her but nothing ever came of if. My dad said he tried to get a meeting with Devon and Diana but Diana apparently started crying and refused. She was great with everyone else just not my mom and dad. This treatment went on for the last year before my mom passed. 2 nights before my mom passed he went in later in the evening. My mom was out in the main room by herself. Diana came walking up the hall and saw him and panicked so much to have to see him face to face that she ran into the bathroom! Whether she was offended by his questions or not, she is the professional there and he only cared about how my mom was doing. So very immature of her! The rest of the staff was great. I want to send my heartfelt thanks to Elizabeth, Ranay and Ranay's sister, Hau, Mel & David. I'm sure there were others who took good care of my mom but I don't know their names.

Morning Star has been am excellent choice for my Mom. The memory care unit is clean, safe, decorated very nice and smells good!!! The staff is amazing and the food is good too!! There is an art room, work out room, activity room with kitchen and a lot of games. There is also a theater, art room, beauty shop and a large dining room. They have a grand piano, library and a bistro. The staff is very good and attentive. And they are all very nice and experienced.
