Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Independent Living

Designed to help older adults who want to maintain an active and independent lifestyle, these communities offer services and amenities that cater to residents’ needs, while encouraging a sense of community and freedom from the responsibilities of owning a home.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Life Plan/CCRCs

Also referred to as Life Plan Communities, these communities offer a comprehensive continuum of care for residents. CCRCs offer multiple levels of care, allowing seniors to transition between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their needs change throughout their aging journey.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing and nursing homes are residential facilities that offer medical care and support for individuals that require a higher level of medical attention and assistance. These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

Home Care

Home care typically offers nonclinical support for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) like bathing and dressing, as well as Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) such as transportation, meal preparation, and medication reminders, all provided in the comfort of one’s home.

My wife and I have lived at Meadow Lakes in a cottage for 18 months. We chose it for the beautiful setting of trees and lakes in a 100 acre arboretum that is always well landscaped. The building architecture is unique as it blends with feel of nature that surrounds you. We've been involved in croquet, pickleball, gardening, 8-ball pool, aerobic swim class and enjoy walks on the grounds. Special musical events of every variety as well as interesting lectures are scheduled each week. We have the option of dinner in the formal dining room or the casual buffet, with a great chef that prepares dishes made for your preference. All the staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. We've met many new friends and are glad to have moved here from Missouri to be near our family. Sally and Don

Very upscale retirement village. Apartments of all sizes. Long walks to the new buildings ( get your exercise here!), A low priced, well-managed, fresh food restaurant with well priced dinner/lunch menu. Friendly servers, helpers, doctors, and activity directors everywhere!

My Mother currently lives at Meadow Lakes. The place is very nice in most respects. The grounds are beautiful and the groups and activities are excellent. There are currently two major problems. The food is sub par. A few years ago they had an actual chef, but he quit due to the funds being cut. Now they have much of the food pre prepared from a bulk dealer. Frozen French fries, pre made tuna and macaroni salad. All of terrible quality. Not too mention the inconsistency is overwhelming. Hamburger's perfectly cooked one day to a near inedible mess the next day. Overall food is getting worse and worse. The next problem is the antiquated heating and cooling system. The building switches from heating to cooling and back each year. If you get a few cold days in summer, oh well. Same thing in winter. Basically you have no control of the temperature in your apartment. It was 85 in my Mother's apartment last month. I had to take her away from the apartment for the day so she wouldn't get sick. Maybe they will address the issues, maybe not.
