Overview
Making People a Priority
McKnight Place Assisted Living & Memory Care has become known for its high-quality amenities, personalized services and expert care, but its history of making people a priority is what really sets itself apart from many other senior communities. That starts with the residents and extends to their loved ones.
With over 30 years of experience in top-quality senior living, McKnight Place knows how to help its residents live fulfilling lives. The professional staff gets to know all residents and their families. Ownership and management truly care about all of the people and things that matter to each and every resident.
Local Ownership with a Personal Touch
Many senior communities are owned by large national companies. That typically leads to a corporate environment with no personal touch. Consider that to be the opposite of what has happened for 30 years at McKnight Place.
These owners are local, with each having an onsite office. They are dedicated to the St. Louis region. They are deeply invested in day-to-day operations and the lives of all concerned. Residents and family members with questions or concerns have access to decision makers.
A High Level of Care
The McKnight Place staff builds trust with residents and their loved ones to let everyone know the day-to-day care will be at a very high level. The employees are committed to personal well-being and satisfaction for residents plus as much day-to-day happiness as possible.
Catering to the needs of residents and their families, the staff works to make life easier and more convenient. Peace of mind is also important. That’s why on-site nursing care, physical therapy and occupational therapy are available every hour of every day, year round.
Apartments Tailored for Each Resident
McKnight Place has 108 assisted-living apartments, ranging in size from large suites to single bedrooms with kitchenettes. Each unit includes beautiful crown molding and wood-style flooring, kitchens with custom wood cabinets and granite countertops, full-size refrigerators, spacious bathrooms, large windows providing natural light and nine-foot ceilings.
McKnight Place also has a special memory-care wing with 27 units for senior adults of all cognitive abilities. The suites have been designed to provide a secure and supportive lifestyle that maintains the look, feel and familiarity of each resident’s homes.
Predictable Pricing
McKnight Place offers true, all-inclusive rates that are simple, predictable and worry-free. That can be a rare find in an industry known for complex pricing structures and mandatory “add-ons,” which can cause problems for consumers and operators alike. Predictable pricing is an innovative, all-inclusive fixed-rate program with no buy-in fees. Unlike many senior-living communities, McKnight Place does not use points, tiers or levels to escalate fees.
All-Inclusive Amenities
McKnight Place features beautifully-landscaped gardens, outdoor spaces, walking paths and plenty of parking. The community has all-inclusive services, plus amenities like a theater, art room, greenhouse, beauty salon and much more.

Mom is doing well here for 6 months. The delicious food Jamie prepared when I visited was excellent and the Tuscan chicken four stars! I also recommend the clam chowder and mushroom ravioli was special! Katey, Lisa, Kayla, Shania, Tamara, Amiea and many others are very compassionate. 🤗 The regular activities and personal touches really make a difference! Joy provides fun participation entertainment! You can pay in advance for food if you want to dine with your resident, but don’t share their food. I recommend you consider this place for your loved ones. Thank you McNight!

For St. Louis, better than most but quality has gone down. They don’t follow up quickly on malfunctioning facilities. Residents who have family bring in nicer things for residents have those things “disappear”…ie nice decorative pillows, perfumes, higher quality lotions…just a shame to steal from the infirmed and elderly. Some excellent nurses though a couple of the better ones have left. Lack of consistent oversight of techs during certain shifts. Again pretty good for St Louis but would be bottom or barely middle tier in real retirement and nursing homes in places in Fla. Az. Etc.

I'm so glad we found this place. It's friendlier and more comfortable than other places we visited. A lot seemed like hospitals and we're kind of depressing, but McKnight Place is homey and there's just an active atmosphere. I noticed that and smiles on faces of employees and people who live there and that really stands out. I feel good having my family member there. At first, I wasn't sure about the food but they got a new chef about a year and a half ago and now things are REALLY GOOD. I've been impressed. We've been very happy with service and care. People should definitely consider it.

The food was excellent. Beautiful facility. But the most outstanding thing to me was the art program. Residents participated in developmental art. They were treated so respectfully and with great care. This was a wonderful environment.
