Lynridge of Waco Assisted Living & Memory Care

My father is a resident in the memory care side of Lynridge. The staff is so kind and caring. The facilities are clean and well kept, and the food is restaurant quality. Our family has peace of mind knowing he is well cared for there.

We moved our Mom in during the month of October 2023. Heartis is a great place! It’s beautiful and the staff is friendly and completely involved. Lots of fun activities for the residents. Very social oriented. I would highly recommend Heartis when your loved one is ready for assisted living.

My mother was one of the first residents to move in when Heartis first opened. That same year a pipe broke in the ceiling and flooded her room and a few others. They took care of the issue quickly. We were very impressed. Boy have the times changed. This isn't a facility for your loved ones if they have special needs. My mother was supposed to be evaluated regularly for memory care but was admittedly overlooked. There was also a medication error while there that we discussed in our quarterly review meeting. We moved our mother out recently and placed her in a facility heads and shoulders above Heartis. How do I rate a facility? By its staff. This place has a revolving door. In the past we would see the same employees. That has changed as well. Happy employees don't leave good jobs, they leave bad management. Familiarity is important to the elderly! New staff coming and going is hard on the older persons mind. The elderly get attached to staff and vice versa. The last time I visited my mother we were sitting there talking and a staff member just walked in, no knock, no announcement. I asked her why she didn't knock, she said, "I''m sorry, I guess I forgot." I guess she forgot how much they pay to live there. This is their home, privacy is their right as a resident. I am a National Dasiy Award winning, 20 year nurse. My review is genuine with no ill will intended. Maybe with a management change Heartis can be great again. Please compare many facilities before making this choice.

Loved getting to attend their boo bash tonight! They had some pretty good games & a nice blow up house for children of all ages. It’s obvious they put a lot of time and love into this event & their residents looked like they enjoyed having the community come!
