A higher level of assisted luxury living. I've been looking around for options for someone close to me recently and Longleaf Bee Cave has risen above all others in my view. Longleaf Bee Cave truly redefines luxury and hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you're met with a level of service and attention to detail that sets this establishment apart. The accommodations are nothing short of spectacular—every room exudes elegance, combining modern design with thoughtful touches that ensure a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. The staff at Longleaf Bee Cave are a dynamic team of professionals who take pride in their work, and it shows. Their commitment to excellence and follow-through on every request, big or small, is impressive. They go above and beyond to make guests feel valued, ensuring that every stay is seamless and unforgettable. Special kudos to Jodie Sanford for going above and beyond in facilitating transitions to something truly special. Whether you're enjoying the beautifully curated spaces, indulging in the on-site amenities, or interacting with the incredible staff, it’s clear that Longleaf Bee Cave is committed to providing a world-class experience. If you're looking for a destination where luxury meets impeccable service, this is it. Highly recommended. miu

The previous reviewer (Greg) documented many of the same concerns we are seeing with my parents. There have been multiple injuries (those that I know of). A little over a week ago, my Dad was sent to the emergency room after drinking paint. How did he gain access to pain in memory care? What paint was it? How much? Longleaf has refused to share the documentation (or answer any questions) on that incident, as well as, the many others where he required emergency care due to over-medication mistakes (elective sedatives provided without approvals by his medical power of attorney (me). The assisted living section has no security on the doors. My Dad walked out several times. He fell in the parking lot on one occasion, on another he got lost and was returned by someone shopping at a near-by store. This year, he was moved to memory care, without notifying me, and his rates were raised, multiple times, without notifications and approvals. I have opened a case with the State of TX regulatory to assist in obtaining documentation on my parents time there. I copied the owner (multiple times) and received no responses.

Don't let the appearance and sales pitches fool you! A year ago, I would've rated this place a 5 (4.5 - pricey) because we loved the office staff, and the care staff was ever-present, friendly, loving, knowledgeable, etc... A year later, the facility has been sold, allegedly to a company who has received horrible reviews with their other facilities as well, but I haven't actually checked into that. That said, our own experiences the past few months (we moved my mom out of the memory care facility about a month ago), would tend to validate those rumors. My mom was in memory care at Longleaf from April, 2023, through July, 2024. During that time, she has suffered many falls, a handful of hospital trips from those falls, displayed regular and exaggerated sundowning, was rarely happy, and increasingly scared and desperate to be moved out of the facility. She has bad memories which stick with her like PTSD still, of certain care givers and staff. We would regularly receive calls saying that they came into her room and found her on the floor, with bruises, skin tears, and sometimes worse (fractured wrist), head pain, etc... When trying to determine how long she was on the floor before someone attended to her, we could never get a straight story, and the details wouldn't always add up to her being discovered minutes, or not that long later... It would seem like she would be there for hours, if not, overnight. The staff would lose her wheel chairs, feet for the wheel chairs, etc... My mom always was fearful at this place, but especially over the last couple of months that she was there. You could tell there was high turnover at a certain point during her stay there, and beloved staff and care-givers were no longer there, the care-giver to resident ratio decreased significantly, and the remaining care-givers (some of them) were less friendly/patient with family, and overwhelmed because there were not enough care-giver to resident ratio, and didn't seem qualified or well trained enough to deal with the major needs of memory care patients. Unfortunately, there is not enough characters allowed to post the story of the poor communication, move-out / contract termination, undermanned (possibly code violating staff to resident ratio for memory care facility), and struggles receiving reimbursement, etc.. Basically, this place cost WAY too much for the service provided, the new memory care staff are overwhelmed, undertrained, and understaffed. This is not a place for comfort care. They are struggling to stay afloat and keep the place running, much less provide quality, around the clock care for those needing it most, the memory care residents. What a shame! A complete meltdown, and a shell of what the place used to be!
