My family member is currently a client at Kingston. In the brief time he’s been in their secured care, he missed a biopsy appointment because a team member disregarded the “no breakfast” orders. He was misdiagnosed with a non-curable STD, has not been given his daily antibiotic which is essential and required every day for life. While we still do not have the results of the investigations for these failures, they choose to prioritize pressing for financial commitments.

Extremely bad care of a loved one in the past. Thinking since time went by that maybe things have changed. I presently have a friend in the rehabilitation section and although this person says they love all the nurses I had to speak up. On two separate occasions in a week and a half time while visiting I witnessed negligence from the same nurse. No gloves were worn throughout the whole procedures, no hands were washed, injection and medications were held and used improperly with contaminated hands. Things were dropped on the floor and picked up and her hands were not washed afterwards and she continued to touch the ends of the injection tubes to administer medication. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!!! Contaminated hands can actually kill someone!!!! DO BETTER, NO EXCUSES FOR THIS!!!! I would love to have someone respond to this and convince me that the situation will be rectified..... I guess in the next few weeks of visiting I will know. I'm just wondering how all the employees there would feel if they witnessed their loved ones being treated with negligence as I did several times...... 😡

My brother had Parkinson's and other issues related to this disease. Over the past 3 or 4 years he has been in several facilities for care that have included hospitals, rehab, nursing home, memory care as well as assisted living. During those times I have never encountered worse care than the care he received at Kingston! He was essentially neglected! I walked in and found him barely responsive or breathing!! The events that unfolded after that are horrific! He was in such bad shape that he needed to be intubated and given life saving meds in the rescue squad before they could even leave for the hospital. And yet the staff didn't seem to see any urgency in his condition short of one aide who absolutely saw what was happening They worked on him (3 EMTs) for 45 minutes or longer before they could even leave the parking lot! The next month was spent in ICU, step down and finally hospice. My brother, who just turned 68 in December, died in hospice exactly one month from the time I found him! I would not want to see anyone treated the way he was!! The reason for this long rant is to see that no other person is treated this way! Don't send anyone you care about to Kingston! If I could give them zero stars I would!
