I would give them zero stars if I could. My mother in law was admitted to them on a Saturday by accident and we wanted her transferred on Monday. In the beginning it was nothing personal, the hospital sent her to the wrong facility. After 1 week there Kingston had made it personal. My mother in law went to a facility for therapy so she could get stronger and return home potentially. In the week she was there she wasn't dressed once, wasn't showered once, they transferred her with a hoyer lift even though she can stand and walk short distances, and did nothing about the fact she hadn't had a bowel movement in almost 2 weeks. As we were trying to get her transferred Kingston drug their feet getting clinicals to the facility she was supposed to go to originally causing a delay in her transfer because the other facility couldn't get Auth from her insurance without the clinicals. Also in that week they called my brother in law who is her POA every day with some new lie, they told him the other facility didn't have lifts so they wouldn't be able to get her out of bed, they told him the other facility doesn't do therapy., on and on. She received poor care while she was there and poor customer service. Would not recommend Kingston of Sylvania to anyone.

such a careless and heartless facility. i have never seen such horrible care, especially towards elders in need. this place seriously needs to reconsider who they allow to work for them. call lights are constantly ignored. cleanliness is not important to them. patients with bed pans can find feces marks around their room due to careless nurses not cleaning up after themselves during routine bed pan switching. i cannot believe that these nurses have their jobs while they clearly have no empathy for the elderly. i stood outside the doorway to get somebodies attention for my grandfather (a stroke patient) after his call light had been on for several minutes and received major attitude from 2 associates. i also overhead a nursing assistant named jacqueline training a new nurse and talking poorly about patients in their doorways. even went so far as to call a patient “a problem child” in her doorway while her call light was on. i cannot express my disbelief and disgust towards this place. i advise everyone to keep their loved ones far far away as they make the discharge process very drawn out and difficult in order to keep ur money in their pockets. edit: stemming from kingstons terrible care and decisions, my grandfather has sadly passed away from sepsis. his bed sores were infected and he even went to a procedure at the hospital in which kingston never bathed him beforehand. i am sickened and this facility will never be forgiven by me or my family. please stay far away.

The nursing care is so bad, it’s down right dangerous. The nurses were not doing their basic nursing assessments of listening to lung sounds. They discharged my grandma home with fluid in her lungs and audible crackling. Her home nurse arrived to her house to assess her two hours after her discharge and had to send her straight to the ER. If the nurses at Kingston were doing even the bare minimum of listening to lung sounds during assessments, they could have heard the crackling and treated the fluid build up. Instead they let her sit there for over a week being untreated and then gave her the green light to be discharged home. Disgraceful and incompetent nursing care!

A particular nurse at Kingston of Sylvania Evelyn, is professional, friendly and quite knowledgeable. She was able to tell me about my husband’s condition. It was refreshing to have her take the time to help us. Thanks.
