My dad has had experience in the hospital, but not in a short-term rehab. He was admitted to The Gardens for 3 weeks and he had a great experience! The nursing staff is always kind, caring and consistent and therapy is always 5 stars! We just lost mom this year, and going through this without her was tough. Dad is happy to know that places like The Gardens exist and he has been sharing his experience with friends at the Baker Senior Center and at Forest Glen CC where he lives!

I spent 13 days at Gardens at Terracina February 2024 to rehabilitate a severe femur fracture and my overall evaluation was very favorable. The facilities were modern, clean and inviting. My accommodations were spacious and situated around a beautiful courtyard with a fountain and inviting gathering area with plenty of seating and tables. The nursing staff as well as the support staff were friendly and efficient. When service was requested they were very attentive. The rehabilitation center was the shining star. Each physical therapist was competent, caring and engaging. This was treated as an important activity with relevant exercises for the conditions I was experiencing. The only negative was the quality of the food, it was usually tasteless and cold. My overall rating would be 4.7 out of 5. This is a well run facility with a full complement of services. If I could give them 6 stars I would! My husband spent 2 months there for rehab. The entire team was so kind, caring and professional! The food was very good in standards of facilities. It was very clean everywhere . All staff from custodial, kitchen, CNA, nurses, front desk all were great! I have dealt with about 7 nursing rehab facilities in past with my parents and this one tops them all! My deepest gratitude to them all for the care and caring for him and also me when I became emotional at times. Great job by all!

My 92 year old mother was lucky enough to get a room at Terracina for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. She arrived at the facility quite late in the day and on short notice but the staff there was ready to welcome her and make her comfortable. The room are spacious and well-appointed. The facility itself has only about 30 residents at any one time so it feels much homier than a larger facility. The chef came in to introduce himself and encouraged Mom to let him know what she would like to eat beyond the offerings on the extensive menu. Someone stopped in every afternoon to offer snacks and goodies. The aides and nursing staff were attentive and responsive when family members had questions. Best of all, there was complete transparency about the process—what were the rehabilitation goals, how is insurance handled, how is date of discharge determined. Mom and family members were welcomed at staff meetings to discuss progress and planning. Mitch Kanefsky, the Director of Social Services, was especially helpful and went above and beyond to make sure Mom felt comfortable at Terracina and that our family’s questions were answered. His discharge planning was detailed and thoughtful and he assisted us in connection with a little wrinkle with the facility to which Mom was returning, taking immediate steps to make sure that her transition back to assisted living was seamless. We were very glad that Mom was at Terracina for her rehabilitation.
