My husband was a resident at Copper Canyon Memory Care for 13 months before he passed away in January 2024. His room was always clean and his laundry was well done. Every employee was kind, professional, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They all seemed to care about each resident. I’m so grateful for the care my husband received! The life enrichment employees worked hard in finding activities for the group. I saw kindness from each one. I would tell someone searching for a facility to visit Copper Canyon. They won’t be disappointed!

I worked there for 2 1/2 months and it's not what 1 thinks abouts that place, I worked the morning shift 6-2:30pm when myself and other co-workers entered to start our shift residents are left soaking wet up to there back, the place smells like urine, he had 1 hard working uncertified caregiver that was doing everything that a certified caregiver does, we were given 17, to 18 residents to work with which is against the law to have so many...Caregivers were given jobs to clean carpets, take laundry out of rooms, besides what we do already. The E.D. Just sits in his office and monitors the camera's..Lol. your told not to say anything to family members. State department needs to go there unannounced.

Copper Canyon has been a great, safe place for my husband! The Administrative staff are excellent, clearly have very pertinent knowledge about Alzheimers/Dementia and provide pertinent education for all staff. I can honestly say staff members have been incredibly kind, have amazing patience and have taken extraordinary care of my husband. I am there twice a day (pop in at all hours) and have personally seen how well the nurses and caregivers care for all the residents.

I placed my husband at Copper Canyon in mid-2018. Overall, I have been pleased with the care he receives. While no facility is perfect, I do believe that when I express a concern about an aspect of his care, my concerns are heard and we work on potential solutions together. I have been very impressed with Terri Waldman, the director, and her advocacy for people with memory disorders. Most of the staff seem to truly care about the residents and do their best to provide excellent care. Of course, the turnover of staff is concerning, but not surprising, considering the nature of the work. The food is excellent and home-cooked.
