Commonwealth Senior Living at Radford

The new staff is working hard to provide consistency in services . I hope they stay. The facility in Radford is always bright and cheery when I enter the lobby area. Tha person at the reception desk, melinda, has become the backbone of good sense! Keep it up Radford Commonwealth!

Your staff is wonderful. We had some issues with my sister, Barbara Duffy, trying to get her to change soiled clothes. She appears to be sleeping a lot or at least staying in bed. She told the nurse and me to leave. She finally settled down and was sleeping when I left. It’s hard for me to see her like this. But she actually knew me. Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of her.

Making the decision to place our Dad in memory care was very difficult. It's a decision that did not come easy. When our family started looking at facilities we were immediately impressed with the facilities at Commonwealth Radford. On our first visit, the positive interactions between staff and residents was evident. The management and staff have been with us throughout this journey...always willing to answer our many questions, quickly responding to texts and calls. Sending texts just to see how we were doing. So far, my Dad is adjusting very well and that is such a comfort to see him flourishing in a safe and loving environment.

I visited my grandparents and was a bit disappointed that there was no water or cup for water in their room, and their room was dirty. My grandmother barely remembers my name, so she definitely can’t remember to ask for something as simple as water. I noticed her voice was hoarse and throat was dry and bothering her while she talked, and that’s when I noticed there was no water or cups or anything.
