Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Prior to being Commonwealth, it was Seaton and before that Elmcroft. My mother was in memory Care for over 3 years. The best time was Elmcroft. When it became Seaton, it plummeted. It's too early to tell what Commonwealth will be like. I will say that after Elmcroft until now, the communication is not good. I am the son who lives in town and was the one who had a pulse on what was going on and I was never added to the email list even though I asked multiple times. The staff for the most part is good. The administration is not. When my mother passed, I would have loved to have received a thank you for 3 plus years of patronage and a letter of condolence. I got neither, instead got an email that was sent to my brother, not me that the room hadn't been cleaned out. I was the one who set up her room, visited every week and emptied her room. The only thing left was a wheel chair that was supposed to be picked up by a medical supply company. When someone passes, a bit of compassion goes a long way. This is more about making money than a care facility. In my mother's last month, she was under Hospice care, in bed and didn't eat or drink anything. Commonwealth charged us level 4 care and really other than a room to sleep in, they provided very little.

We had a tour of the facilities with Mrs Mitchell the lifestyle counselor and were very impressed with the level of care given to the residents as well as the state of the facilities themselves. Mrs. Mitchell was very accommodating, and her knowledge and experience with facility was very reassuring when we were looking for somewhere to take our mother.

My Mother has been a resident in Seaton Chesterfield for 8 months now. The staff is very friendly and caring. I am able to enjoy meals in the dining room with my mother and the food is very good. The Executive Director, Paige, has been so helpful in explaining everything in our new venture. The Activity Director, Christine, is very energetic and fun. My Mother is very happy at Seaton and that's all that matters!

My sister and I visited several places and we had no problem seeing why this place was rated the highest. I have never seen more sweet happy faces in any senior living place. We especially loved Lia she is Amazing, very upbeat and so positive with everyone. If I need something for mom I text Lia and it is taken care of. Mother has had nothing bad to say about The Seaton she loves her new home. She is also very pleased with all the people on staff. Everyone takes time with her and makes her feel very special.
