Overview
Whether you or a loved one have experienced a health hiccup or sensed a diminishing quality of life over time, you want to get back to the way things were. But sometimes, feeling like yourself again can take a village.
At Cherrelyn Healthcare Center Rehab, we know that no one sets out to move in here, but we are on a mission to ensure that you’re glad you did. As part of the Stellar Living Network (a tight-knit collective of family owned and operated senior living communities), we set the standard in both short-term rehabilitation and longer-term care. So, let’s get you feeling better!
Care
Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing and nursing homes are residential facilities that offer medical care and support for individuals that require a higher level of medical attention and assistance. These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.
Neighborhood
Pulling from a variety of reliable data sources, Walk Score® measures the walkability of any address, helping you understand how easy it is to live a car-free lifestyle. Transit Score®, when available, measures how well a location is served by public transit. Scores range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more amenities within walking distance and diverse transit options nearby.

The staff, particularly the CNAs, are extremely rude and dismissive. Rather than showing compassion and patience, they often make residents feel like a burden if they ask for help or have questions about their care. This behavior is unacceptable in a setting where kindness and understanding should be a top priority. Assisted living is supposed to provide support and dignity, but unfortunately, that’s not the case here. I hope management takes immediate steps to address this issue and ensure staff receive proper training in empathy and professionalism. Until then, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone seeking a supportive environment for themselves or their loved ones.

The treatment experienced at this facility is not just unprofessional—it’s abusive and retaliatory. The staff, particularly the CNAs, are shockingly rude and dismissive. Instead of showing the compassion and patience that should define assisted living care, they make patients feel like a burden, going as far as telling them they are “too demanding” and that the staff complains about them and hates them. What’s worse, when complaints are posted over these legitimate concerns, the staff stoops to a new low. They stalk patients social media and retaliate against by telling them they are no longer welcome at the facility. This level of hostility and lack of accountability is not just unethical—it’s downright dangerous. Assisted living facilities are meant to provide safety, dignity, and respect for residents, but this facility seems more focused on silencing those who dare to speak up about its failures. This toxic culture must be addressed immediately. I urge management to overhaul their hiring practices, provide extensive training in empathy and professionalism, and root out any staff engaging in retaliatory or abusive behavior. Do not entrust them to a place where complaints are met with stalking and exclusion instead of accountability and improvement.

Awful place. Do NOT send your loved ones here. The only saving grace is the friendly receptionist staff. She was more friendly and helpful than anybody else I met in this facility. My mother in law passed away here, and within a few hours of her passing, they were hounding my wife asking (very rudely) "what do we do with the body." Which is a totally appropriate and empathetic way to talk to someone who's MOTHER just passed away. We haven't even boarded our plane yet to get back into the state yet. (We live out of state). We set up a date to come and get her belongings, and the day we get there, they show us a different dead person's belongings and basically said "well I don't know, guess we need to find it." They didn't call us until over an hour later saying they FINALLY found her things. My mother in law's sleep apnea machine was with her belongings, and we checked the logs it leaves that shows her O² levels and can indicate whether or not she's in distress. The machine indicated that she was in distress for FOUR (4) HOURS before she passed. So I'm guessing the staff don't care at all if someone can be dying for 4 hours and nobody came in or was doing their walkthrough. On top of that, my sister in law would visit as often as she could, and the place would REEK of excrement, which sounds normal, sure. But what isn't normal is human feces being left on the floor before, during, and after the lengthy visits she would have with my mother in law. Awful place, and I feel immense guilt that I don't make enough money to have her be in a place that can actually take care of someone properly. TL;DR if you want your loved one to not be cared for and then be hounded about "removing the BODY" then this is the place for you! I've been in plenty of nursing homes and care facilities (that also accept Medicaid) and they've always been clean with employees that actually want to do right by the other residents. This place is the polar opposite of that.
