The staff at Holiday Chateau McKinney is professional, caring and compassionate. They find ways to make the residents happy. They are sensitive to the residents needs. They offer my watercolor doodle classes. The community seems to be well managed and is always clean. They have remodeled one of the rooms for an activity room. I enjoy doing business with Holiday Chateau.

Moving into a senior community can be a big step….this community makes it easy. It’s the gem of mckinney from all of the staff from the Executive Director, who is out and about with his residents rather than sitting in his office, stellar non stop activities, to the excellent food from a scratch kitchen, and even the residents all seem to be happy to be there. Oh, and they just remodeled everything and it’s beautiful! The staff truly cares unlike most independent livings. They help provide resources for everyone whether it’s home health from a reputable company and extra care availability in house from a licensed, bonded and insured agency in case someone needs a helping hand! I sleep much better at night knowing my parents are taken care of. That’s different than most senior livings who take “hands off” approach. They can keep their independence but the community is there in case they need them….i recommend dropping in for a tour as everything is new and pristine! Spectacular place!

I am a resident at Chateau McKinney. I gave 41/2* due to our staff constantly looking for ways to make our lives better. They love us, and we love them!! Numerous activities are available--my favorites: church services available on Sunday, bean bag baseball, walking, exercise equipment, entertainers monthly, crafts, and time with staff and residents, the many opportunities to volunteer, and time to just relax. Visit for yourself and see if this is the home for you,or bring your independent love one to visit and see if this is the home for them. I AM BLESSED TO CALL THIS IS MY HOME AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

My Dad has lived at The Chateau for almost two years. The Chateau is a nice place overall, but it does have a couple of issues. The pros are the floor plans are great. They have garages as well, which has helped my Dad with storage concerns. The people are very nice. The residents are also very nice, and I really like that about the property. The cons though, are big: the food is the first one. The property seems to have trouble keeping kitchen staff and specifically chefs. When my Dad moved here, we thought he would be eating most of his meals in the dining room, but that did not end up being the case. Also, the back door of the property (my Dad lives in the back of building 4) does not lock. It's supposed to be a mag lock, but most of the time my father has lived here, the door has not functioned properly, and most of the time it is unlocked. The back of the property is enclosed by a gate, but there is still a security risk. Other than these items, Dad has enjoyed his time living at Chateau.
