The wonderful things that the staff said when my friend was moved into Cedarhurst of Lawrence turned out to be all talk, and some very bad follow through. From safety, to adjustments as normal dementia behaviors developed, to basic record keeping, it was a very terrible , sad experience. They ran out of medicine, failed to keep track of medicine given, and when behaviors were not as they wished, the organization raised the rates AND kicked my friend out. If I care about someone, I will never let them to to one of the Cedarhurst homes. NEVER.

Cedarhurst has been the perfect move for my father. Everyone is kind and helpful to him and the family also. The food is delicious and there is a nice variety 3 times a day 7 days a week. They are pet friendly too! Stephanie and Melissa and their staff make it the place. Thank you!

Cedarhurst in Lawrence has become a wonderful home for my friend A! From the very beginning, every encounter with staff has been pleasant and each person has gone above and beyond to make A comfortable. A loves her room, appreciates that her cat can live with her, enjoys the unique dining experience offered there and has probably participated in nearly activity that has been offered! As a care partner, I have total confidence in the care that A is receiving and am grateful that she is happy there.

We looked into a few memory care units in Lawrence and decided on a new one, Cedarhurst. Great decision. The staff is wonderful. The young ladies taking care of mom are truly outstanding. They care so much about her well being and do their best to make her comfortable. I recommend you check out Cedarhurst.
