I transferred my sweet hubby after 3 months at another facility to a memory care apartment here when a renovated wing at Cascades of Bend opened in March 2023. Despite multiple forms of dementia he is content & thriving thanks to the devoted, professional staff. I usually visit twice daily and feel like the caregivers are my second family, surrounding him with love. Reports & pics shared by the wonderful activities coordinator during my recent hospital stay touched my heart. Blessed!

The staff at Cascades of Bend went above and beyond to ensure that my mother-in-law received the care she needed. They did their best while patiently managing unwarranted and disrespectful behavior towards themselves and their residents. Watching a loved one battle memory loss is extremely difficult experience for a family to go through, but the staff followed the care plan they were given to make sure that the most important person in this situation was as comfortable as possible. Thank you, staff!

This place is incredible. It’s unfortunate that my deranged, greedy, and mentally ill sister is able to post a one star review. She also has her friends (who know nothing of the situation) post one star reviews as well. Our mom was admitted with late stage Alzheimer’s several months ago on doctors’ orders and then passed away, because that is what happens at the end of the disease. She refused food and stipulated in her advanced directive that she didn’t want to be force fed when the time came. My sister was banned from the facility, because she verbally attacked the poor residents and the staff and she abused my poor mom by telling her she was in prison and withholding her medication. Everyone was able to visit my mom except for her, because of her violent behavior. She didn’t want any of her inheritance to go to a memory care facility, and so she has harassed them non stop. Cascades protected my mom from her to the very end and went above and beyond in every way. I’ve volunteered at multiple memory care facilities, and this one is by far the best I’ve ever visited. The residents are clearly happy and the place even smells good, because they keep it so clean. There are videos on Cascade's Facebook page showing my mom laughing and playing instruments and singing happy birthday up until only a couple weeks before she passed. That is miraculous to me that they were able to bring joy to someone with such advanced dementia. I owe them so much.

This small little community is such a gift. So many smiles and joy on the residents’ faces. They have a lovely courtyard with a view of Pilot Butte, which also has some nice hiking trails and benches for picnics with family. They also have a wonderful security system for the safety of your loved one. These people truly care about the well being of their residents.
