After a bad experience with our first assisted living community, finding Brickmont for our mother was an answer to our prayers and an easy choice! SECURITY is excellent, management offices are clearly visible and doors are open (they all wave and say hello when you enter the lobby), SPOTLESSLY clean, uncluttered, well maintained, high ceilings and spacious, open common areas, chef-prepared meals, excellent communication among staff and between staff and families, all staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in appearance, and everything is geared toward the safety and comfort of seniors. There’s an overall culture of genuine care/love and respect, not only for residents but also for their families. Our beloved mother is very happy there, and we are confident she will be well cared for, and loved, at Brickmont. By the way, it’s also convenient to major shopping stores as well as hotels for visitors staying overnight.

They were very nice and responsive till the moment they took my deposit check. After that , they just literally did not CARE! They made the process extremely frustrating. I tried to find a new place for a family member. Brickmont scheduled a nurse to do the assessment. She was 2 hours late for the appointment. I waited and waited, I called , nobody called back. She finally came, she said she would get back to me with the decision. Since they were holding on to my deposit check, I was not able to look for a new place or put a deposit on a new place until I receive a decision from them, we had 30 days to move our family member from the current place , every day was precious, I kept emailing and calling asking the management for the update... NOTHING! The nurse finally called me back after about 10 days! she said they cannot accept our family member. I wasted two weeks because they would not get back to me. I finally managed to find a new place in Cumming area off Peachtree Pkwy ( even less expensive than Brickmont) , And guess what , after the nurse assessment we got an answer in 1 day. The entire process with the new facility took 2 days! BRICKMONT- VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

We are writing to express our heartfelt appreciation for one of your employees, Emily Watkins who works as the Concierge at Brickmont Johns Creek. During our nearly daily visits to Brickmont to visit our dad, Emily is the first person we see. We are always greeted by name with a smile and are consistently impressed by her dedication and compassion. Her consistent ability to connect with the residents, family members, vendors, and staff, always creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, is remarkable. We witness firsthand how she takes the time to listen to each resident's needs, staff needs, or caregivers' needs offering support and encouragement with genuine kindness. Additionally, in an effort to create a family environment, she has gone above and beyond and formed a monthly caregiver group called “Loving Arms” in order to connect family members within the community so we can offer support and camaraderie to one another as we witness our loved ones age. It's clear that Emily is not only committed to enhancing the quality of life for the residents but also inspiring her colleagues. Her leadership, positive attitude and dedication to exceptional care are invaluable assets to your team. She wears several hats and does what is needed most at the time, regardless if it is on her actual job description. One recent example would be Monday night when there was an appliance fire in the kitchen. Emily jumped into action caring for residents in the stairwell. Once safe to return the residents to their rooms, she, without hesitation, helped our father who needed assistance in the bathroom. We were so grateful to her unwavering and gentle care of our father. Thank you for fostering an environment that allows such dedicated individuals to thrive. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Brickmont. After placing a deposit for a room for my mother in April, she tragically passed away just two days after they cashed the check, several weeks before her move-in date. Despite their repeated promises to refund my deposit, it has now been four long months without a single cent returned. I've made countless phone calls, and while they occasionally respond, they consistently fail to follow through on their assurances. It’s clear that they are more interested in taking your money than providing any real service. Beware of this company; they will take your hard-earned cash and leave you hanging in your time of need.
