I feel compelled to leave a review as I have worked here as the sales and leasing director just about 6 weeks and have seen nothing concerning yet (which is rare in senior living). I am referring to staff, not only do our staff all know the residents and their families by name and treat them as their own, they also come in on time, do not call in, we do not have turnover as most have been here 3-6 years. I have seen many of them go above an beyond never complaining and helping each other. The management is also fabulous. Our business operations Retna has been here 7 years and our nurse Stephanie 3! Our leader Lisa is amazing and treats us all so well which makes you LOVE coming to work. We believe in senior care with a purpose but make it FUN! The residents love how personable all of our staff is. (We have BIG personalities here expect a little silly and crazy) The activities are fun and hands on as we have a small community so they get more care and attention as well as love. You cannot teach compassion and attitude so we only hired people who came with those amazing traits. I have worked at other facilities in town and hands down this has been the most calm, consistent and peaceful environment. Pendants are never ignored or longer than 15 minutes, and very, very rarely are there ever falls. I have yet to see one in my time here OR an ambulance or resident crying ignored at a table head down. It is just overall the PLACE to be if you are genuinely looking for a team to not just manage your parent but LOVE them. This last chapter of their life is just as, if not MORE important than the rest. Loneliness and depression are common at this stage of life and we never take that lightly. We have great communication with family about all details. I like to say a doctor helped bring you into the world and we will love you until you leave it. Life enrichment is taken SERIOUS here we do not ignore residents or promise things without change. We treat our residents like they deserve: Respect and Dignity are huge here. You won't see staff on phones or hiding in corners ignoring their work. Our residents matter and here they are seen and known. We are a family and I truly see that and mean that. It is a blessing walking in each day. 10/10.

My Mother was evacuated from Kingwood to Bluebonnet Court after Hurricane Beryl hit the Houston area, and from the minute she arrived, it was an absolute fantastic experience. They treated Mom as if she was a permanent resident, and after only a three week stay, she cried for half of the drive back to Kingwood. The Caregivers, Med Techs, Nursing staff and the Administrators were extremely caring and understanding. All of the residents are happy and friendly, and when I say "family atmosphere," I certainly mean it. Clean, elegant; I could go on all day. Thanks for everything you did for Mom!

If you care about your family member, do not put them here. Unfortunately, Bluebonnet has had 100% turnover in staff multiple times each year during the past 4 years; from kitchen to custodial to care givers to directors. There is no continuity of care (one shift knowing what happened during earlier shifts.) If your family member needs any one-on-one care, ask about their caregiver ratios. And be very careful about what they call level of care costs. If you complain about a loved one needing more care (even if it's what you already agreed to) they will raise the amount you pay each month dramatically. They will also tell you your family member can stay at Bluebonnet through end of life care -- that is unless they need more care than BB wants to provide. Then they raise the level of care costs dramatically. Monitor medications very carefully. I know of more than one resident who had medications go missing. One resident went for 5 months without having laundry or housekeeping services because the staff didn't like the cat living in the room. One resident fell in the middle of the night and it took 30 minutes for a response -- no response to necklace alarm, no response to wall alarm. Finally had to call front desk from cell phone to get help.

I was very impressed with the staff at Bluebonnet Place when investigating temporary care for my 97-year-old aunt. Paige Dudley, the director, could not have been more helpful, responsive, and patient–providing information, willing to make accommodations to a special situation if necessary, arranging for a FaceTime assessment as my aunt lives elsewhere in Texas. Since I live thousands of miles away, it was very reassuring to work with someone so supportive. In the end, the temporary stay was not needed, but I will always think of Bluebonnet Place as a resource and remember the staff with gratitude.
