Our family feels love at Bickford Of Okemos Mom has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident, and they recognize that her situation is different than a more usual type of aging. She can’t hear very well, so she can’t interact as much as she might, but they seem to know her personality deeply. Mom doesn’t like to participate in group events very often. Therefore, they help us arrange for her to regularly join family for lunch at her favorite restaurant. They also know she likes music so they will work extra hard at getting her out of her room when there’s music going on. We have never regretted once our choice to place mom at this caring and lovely facility. She moved in at the end of January 2020, and she just had her 90th birthday. She never got sick when Covid was really scary. Overall, 100%! We love Bickford!

The Bickford has been an excellent place for my mother. The staff and leadership connect and build relationships with residents and their family members. The size and construction of the residential community promotes a positive and engaging environment. The outdoor atrium is one of our favorite spaces. If you are looking for a person oriented assisted living residence in the Okemos area, place the Bickford at the top of your list.

Bickford of Okemos is a truly wonderful assisted living community that I highly recommend. If you're considering a safe and loving transition for your loved one, I strongly encourage you to tour this charming facility and work with Kyle and Jenn. Their dedication and compassion make all the difference. Although Bickford of Okemos boasts an older design, it exudes a unique charm and style that creates an incredibly cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Jenn, the administrator, is phenomenal. She ensures her entire team is trained in providing loving care, attending to each resident's needs with the urgency and attention they deserve. Her leadership fosters a nurturing environment where every resident feels valued and cared for. As the community engagement person, Kyle goes above and beyond by holding support groups and community events to support families and provide essential education about senior living and caregiving. These resources are invaluable for families navigating the complexities of elder care and help build a strong sense of community. The community at Bickford of Okemos includes a wonderful mix of men and women, both singles and couples, ensuring that everyone can find their comfortable fit. The little details that make Bickford feel like home truly set it apart. I highly recommend visiting Bickford of Okemos to experience its warm and inviting atmosphere firsthand. Working with Kyle, Jenn and Christoria, and their entire team, will ensure your loved one transitions smoothly into a safe and loving environment where they can thrive.
