Care
Assisted Living
A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.
Memory Care
Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.
Respite Care
Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Imagine seeing the outside of a beautiful location ? To walk and leave your loved ones in place that can not keep them safe. How scary , This place is a nightmare . I am a former employee of Bickford of aurora . I worked with this company for over a year and was miserable the entire time of working here . I stayed so long to ensure care and safety for my residents . This location was shoot up in May of 2024 and loved ones families was not notified and the management tried to keep it a secret. This place is infested with mice , scabies , bed bugs and covid due to the Director and Director of nursing not providing their staff with proper ppe to take of people . I had to call the health department numerous time to send help out . The director and her colleagues are very unprofessional and rude and racist. The director is a single mother that discriminates against pregnant and single mothers whenever you don’t have child care or can’t come into work. She shows favoritism to certain employees. It’s been times she has broken hippa and wasn’t held responsible. Telling her cna staff she was going to fire certain people before she did it , talks about certain workers with her colleagues and she will wrongly fire . She has been reported to higher up numerous times for speaking to her staff poorly , leaving the staff short staff and overworking and under paying staff. The maintenance man is very racist and unprofessional when it comes to people of color. He will follow you around the entire building your entire shift and keep eyes on you to go back and report you to the director . He feel entitled to speak to people any kind of way without being held responsible. The director of nursing is very unprofessional and nasty to workers . She doesn’t want to provide staff with ppe and she is allowing her staff to care for assisted living residents that has level 5 care and residents that need skilled care. She informed some of her cna staff that her husband is elderly and she shouldn’t have to leave her home to come work on call whenever it’s a call off and when she is to come work on any shift she will harass you . She was reported numerous times to state and needs to be held responsible. The assistant director of nursing is a hypocrite, she will bash her colleagues with staff and turn around and say she didn’t say it do anything , she informed me and two other cna’s that a resident doesn’t have rights . In the handbook and by law a resident has rights and they can refuse care and anything they don’t want to do . They force the residents to before before 10 pm and make them stay in their rooms even when they don’t want to. They have an activity aide that barely does her job so they make the care staff do the activities because the aide is running errands or in meetings with management when it’s time to do her job especially in memory care . The sales manager is very nasty and rude to care staff . She will call you and when talking via phone if the conversation isn’t going her way she will hang up in your face and will try to write you up . The management will try to write you for anything when they don’t like you or you speak up for yourself to get you out the door . They can’t keep a care staff and nurses or anybody to cover shifts because they treat people poorly. They have a high turn over rate but the director will hire anybody . I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody I know .

I’ve been working here for a little more than a year. I love the environment, my fellow coworkers are awesome and I see nothing but care and love towards our residents. Come and get a tour I 100% recommend Bickford :)

The staff are very caring and work hard to provide care for its residents. They are all willing to listen and brainstorm when there is a problem, they hold weekly meetings with residents and we have seen changes based on what residents want. It is a beautiful, caring community and we have been very happy with mom's care.

Staff withholds personal protective equipment and makes everyone reuse disposable gowns because the administrator/wellness Director doesn’t wanna lose her bonus. It’s a toxic work environment. The wellness Director is nasty to her employees as well as a liar. Do not let them fool you into thinking this is a great place for mom just because it looks pretty on the outside. It’s ridiculously understaffed management will lie to you and they don’t care about your family members health. any employees who have gone ahead and tried to whistle blowing on the illegal and unclean practices happening here have been fired.
