“I just want to tell you how much Linda loved her apartment and the friends she made there enriched her life in so many ways. So many and I surely don't know them all but Marion, Inga, Georgia and Karen were the ones I got to know the best over the almost 3 years :). A lot more faces I recognize but I'm not great at remembering names. She loved her porch and all her plants. I really think she had the best apartment there. It was her "home" and she deeply regretted not being able to return.”

I worked here privately with some ladies a person surprised us for lunch and the lady had gotten use to me he said something and she’s hard of hearing and she looked to me for clarification and I tried to tell her what he said and he yelled hey and hit me in my chest pushing me back in my chair I was leaving the receptionist called me back I was scared thought they were going to protect me but the activities director acting as manager went to him asking what happened and walked past me after she talked to him where they told me to sit not saying a word I ask the receptionist isn’t she going to come tell me what to do she went in the ladies office came back said no she’s busy the rest of the day I said well I need to call the police I’m scared he hit me she went back in the ladies office repeated what I said and the lady came out saying he said he barely touched you seeing he was still in the building and they were not protecting me I called the police I went to my car to wait and the activities director along with the receptionist came out and chased me off the property I said I’m just waiting on the police if I move they won’t know where to come she did not care and chased me off I went across the street and sat in someone’s driveway waiting on the police they came out and had the receptionist take photos of me so I was on with the cops they said maybe you want to take photos as well and I did when the director of activities kicked me off the property I said I hope this never happens to one of your loved ones she was very mean I was afraid with no help I thought she’d protect me and place me in an office until the police arrived but she did not I tried to call and get an incident report and none was made not a safe place to be I’d like to thank Augustine lading for the comment For the comment below this is a fact and you can call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office for the report the report. Old, unorganized, poor leadership, lacking in every area especially food and the management. Food is the worst I have seen, whereas many folks get sick. Management has turned over several times, and not always for the better; lots of staff gossip. Roaches in the apartments, even with weekly spray. Patio literally had termites. Over priced for incredibly low quality. Mgmt turnover affects quality of life for seniors living there. Best thing...we moved!!!

As a resident, I do not recommend it to anyone. I have been here two years and it is getting worse by the day. The only salvation was our activity director Lorena. She made you feel as if you were wanted and needed here. Well that changed today. The new director fired her and then had the audacity to put a letter out to residents stating she walked out and quit. All residents know that is untrue and do not like being lied to about it. This is suppose to be an independent living for seniors and far from it. It is my understanding that many of our activities are going to be cancelled. If something is not done about this situation, our home will be in ruins.
