My mother lived first in Independent housing for 13 years and loved her apartment. When she needed extra care she moved to Assisted Living where she has received loving expert care from everyone from Administration to Nursing service, housekeeping, hairdresser and the dietary department. Everyone has made her comfort their top priority. I would specifically like to acknowledge the nurses or aides, Diedre, Andreanna, Mercedes, Shenavia, Laura, Maureen, the superb housekeeper Sheryl, Administrators Jackie and Erica along with the kitchen staff. I’d also like to acknowledge the hairdresser Annie who kept mom feeling good about herself! And where would the residents be without the recreation expert Julie whose energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Our family could not be more pleased with the attention and care provided for our mother. Thank you to everyone and to those who cared for my mom whose names I have missed. I wish it was in my power to give all these care givers a raise since they certainly deserve it. Thank you for providing quality care for our mom.

American House Spring Lake provides a great home for senior citizens to age in place. When my parents needed to move from their home across the state to be near us due to my mom’s increasing Alzheimer’s, American House was the right place for them. It truly became their home, with wonderful caregivers and good friendships with other residents. After my mom passed away several years ago, the home-like setting and atmosphere was essential for my dad. He truly loved the caregivers and residents as family, and they returned that love. For as long as he could, he enjoyed slowly walking the grounds outdoors with his walker and was really happy in his home there.

Caring staff made my parents feel welcome, and our family feel confident that they were in good hands. They both enjoyed the special activities and exercise programs. My Mom and Dad started out in independent living, and had a car when they first moved in. American house helped them with their many transitions and allowed them to stay together, aiding them with their move to a more care dependent apartment later on. The staff would often stop in to chat, and some grew very close to my parents. My Mom spent a lot of time researching different independent living facilities, and we were all glad they chose American House.

American House Living centers are a great place for any loved one. My mother was a resident at the Spring Lake location for several years and received excellent treatment, care and kindness. This is a well staffed center with an RN on duty. Their Executive Supervisor Cory Baar responds to your family concerns promptly and lovingly. They really care about their residents and treat them like family. The living center is very home like with dining and community centers along with many opportunities to engage with other "family members". If and when the day comes I need this living arrangement, my first call is American House. I know they are the best.
