Many thanks to Colleen and staff at the Taylor American House. It's been months since my loved one passed and I still don't know how I would have made it through without the kindness and support of Colleen, Alex, Mike and Gary and all the others on staff. Their patience (believe me they needed it) and gentle spirit with my cousin was very much appreciated. She was not the easiest person to deal with sometimes but working together we were able to help her navigate her new reality - which is often not easy as a person gets older. I would recommend this American House to family and friends.

My uncle lived at American House in Taylor for two years. We were very happy with the overall management and operations of this location. The apartments are nicely laid out, clean and well maintained. The management was proactive in keeping us informed and always available to answer questions or address concerns. We were especially impressed by the kindness of the staff who interacted with my uncle daily. Recently, he was hospitalized and all he wanted to do was go back 'home' to his apartment. To me, that says volumes about the people who work there and look after the residents. Thank you American House for all you do to make the residents feel at home everyday.

Incredibly disappointing in this facility!! Administrator open with her opinion which is never requested! She feels comfort mentioning who she saw at facility visit my mother, and how things should be done. None I'm mean absolutely none of her business!! I was there plenty, without her knowledge, for its none of her business!! My mom was very disappointed with Administrator also! Her first focus she be on my mother, and never in our family affairs!! Be warned this is how they operate. Tried getting paperwork done properly as attorney advised me to do. Well that was not correctly att this point,in fact they made a bigger mess off it!

American house is overall a beautiful place with pleasant staff but the issue is the manager of the home care department she is very rude and nasty just ghetto and unprofessional. I overheard her talking to a resident and I can honestly say I’m glad my mother is able to do for herself and not have to deal with the unprofessionalism from her.
