Very impressed! The staff was helpful and caring and their chef Jose’s daily menus varied and delicious. Our tour guide Judi Dunn was awesome. She answered all questions and helped us through the entire process of getting my sister situated into her new apartment with its beautifully landscaped grounds and swimming pool along with the many event activities offered to residents. After checking out 5 other area residences we found The American House; a place perfect for my sister with her special needs. Their cost’s were very reasonable and care levels offered ideal. I would highly recommend this well run assisted living unit to anyone needing a safe, clean and caring place to live. Sincerely, Jim Gilleylen.

Our family visited over twenty senior living facilities before selecting American House Sarasota. The first thing that attracted us was the beautifully landscaped entrance & grounds. The champion oaks felt like home to our mother. As we walked through the outdoor breezeway and entered the gathering hall inside, we were amazed at how pleasant and welcoming people were. Today, several months later, we continue to see this friendliness and helpfulness throughout the med tech staff, housekeeping, drivers, even the waiters in the restaurant. And the meals are superb! We are thankful for the many services such as in-house PT and OT. Our mother enjoys participating in exercise class, book club, field trips and afternoon gatherings in the grand hall with singing & socializing! But her favorite is her daily walk around the beautiful lake through the butterfly garden. There is an abundance of activities for everyone. Come and see for yourself.

Following an exhaustive search of long term care faciitlies in the Sarasota/Manatee area, we decided on American House as our home. It is "head and shoulders" over the many others we visited in terms of the range and quality of services. We have found the American House radiates not only the very welcoming, warmth and friendliness in everything it does, but even more importantly, provides the professionalism and high level of supportive services that my wife and I so depend on during this "older adult" of time of life.

One of the nicest places my family has seen for our 98 year old Mother. The staff, management and most importantly those that clean and take care of her apartment and wash her laundry are just exceptional. We love it.
