My clients moved into American House in Boynton Beach when it first opened. The staff has gone above and beyond to ensure they are well cared for, happy and their needs are addressed. They are very happy with the food and there are multiple activities offered throughout the day and evening. Big shout out to Judy Siefert, the Wellness Director, for always being available to help out and always having a smile on her face.

It has been officially 3 months since our parents have relocated from their beloved home to the assisted living community at American House Boynton Beach--I only wish they could have moved sooner! Each and every step of the process was managed with compassion and attention to detail. As I and my brother both live out-of-state, it was crucial that the coordination 'on-the-ground' be reliably managed. The staff have gone beyond the call to make this extremely difficult transition not only manageable, but actually enjoyable (and our parents are not the easiest folk to deal with). I am thrilled to see our Mom, finally doing something other than sleeping and sitting around - She is thriving meeting new friends and attending the activities. While our Dad is the 'resistant type', he has also been settling in to his new home with the help of a ridiculous amount of patience from AH's amazing staff. We had put a deposit on their apartment nearly 2 years prior when the facility was initially being built. Frustratingly, there were delays including a change in ownership. Despite this, the transition staff of Ken and Jillian were amazing and available up to an including their eventual move-in date. I don't know how she does it all, but Judy the nurse manager has been simply amazing seeing to our parents' every need from healthcare to housekeeping management. The concierges Javia and Joellena work tirelessly to field all issues and questions. Recreational director Sadora has planned the most wonderful events including live music, parties, games and the beloved daily movies in the lovely theater. Poor O'neil runs himself ragged dealing with anything that needs fixing and my Dad's often irrelevant complaints LOL. I don't know the names of their aides but they have also been fantastic. Our parents have a two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment that includes kitchen and living room areas - It is quite spacious in my opinion. Pluses include THREE separate temperature controls and a/c units for the living area and each bedroom. They have their own separate WiFi in apartment and the TV from Hotwire is excellent as is Peter who is the rep who manages it. Their laundry is done in the apartment in their own stacked washer/dryer which is a pro in that they don't take their clothes to the community laundry. There is one downside and that is that the washer/dryer are extremely noisy. Many of the residents have complained about it but really I don't see how they can do anything about it. Just thought you should be aware. The food at the dining room is really excellent - I've had a few meals there and was impressed with not only the variety and creative choices but the taste since I had low expectations in an 'industrial' setting. Not everything was great but I can see the efforts being made by the chef. Mom and Dad can eat anytime they want in the dining room since they have 'flexible dining' rather than set times everyone has to go there. They say they love the food but they are not "foodies" FYI. Mom and Dad have their beds made and linens cleaned daily and it is always tidy and clean in the apartment. Also Mom receives help bathing and dressing and she looks better than ever. She also has received salon services including haircut, color, styling and mani/pedi all fantastic. Dad needs more assistance but is a bit resistant to allowing the aides to bathe him. They are patient with him and I'm sure he'll come around. Both Mom and Dad have cognitive impairments but are not in need of Memory Care at present. But this option is available should the need arise. As it has only been 3 months, I intend to post an update at some point. I am fully aware that new facilities can start strong and the quality of care can decrease over time. For now, I couldn't be happier.

American House is an outstanding facility, clean and beautiful. The staff are heads and shoulders above any other facilities I have encountered. My mother is in the Memory Care wing and I cannot believe the positive changes in her demeanor since she moved in. All anger, frustration, fears and anxiety have been replaced with smiles and serenity and her wonderful sense of humor and playfulness have returned, thanks to the positive attitudes and kind treatment of each employee. Special thanks go out to Ms Karen who is the Memory Care Director, and Ms Judy who is the Director of Nursing. They go above and beyond all day long. I and my family are immeasurably grateful that our Mom is able to enjoy this wonderful place.
