My mom has been in the Ensemble memory care community at Allegro for almost two years. While no one wants to get an Alzheimer's diagnosis for their parent, much less the news that they need to transition that parent to memory care, we have been so happy with Allegro and the care and support the community has provided for my mom. The team at Allegro really goes above and beyond to provide enriching and fun activities for the residents to help them live the fullest lives possible. There is genuine kindness and caring from the staff as they help the residents take care of their personal and medical needs. And the team supports families through a very difficult period with regular family nights/ programming and including interested families into the activities alongside the residents. We consider the team at Allegro to be like a second family and are grateful for the care they provide for my mom.

I love the Allegro brand! I have been to a handful of them in Central Florida and surrounding areas. Smiles are big, hearts are kind and the care is compassionate. A definite must see if you are looking to level up and live a “resort” lifestyle. They even have a pool :)!

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, but they always seem understaffed, and sometimes under-qualified. After 5 months, I'm afraid I'd describe it as a gold-gilded deathtrap with a fountain. My mother, in memory care, smells like fetid urine, often by lunchtime, ~every~ time I visit (which is relatively frequently). We hired a physical trainer to help her walk again after an extended period without much physical activity, but the staff refuses to get her out of her wheelchair, so she is constantly losing any progress she makes. They won't even have her stand to sit in a regular chair at meals, though we have asked for this simple consideration several times. My father rarely eats much there. I joined him in the dining room one night for dinner. When my meal was brought out cold a half hour after ordering, that's when the waitress told us that what he'd ordered was no longer available. In the hour and fifteen that we spent in the dining room, I watched as another resident sat, order after fifteen minutes, waited almost 30 minutes, then, tired of waiting, just got up and left without anyone saying a word to him or having had a bite to eat. $7k/mo is a lot to pay for that sort of neglect. Because both my parents are there, that's over $14k/mo for miserable final days. The included picture is of carrots, because it isn't easy to tell from the color, what is depicted.

Took my mom for a tour of this facility. Kathleen was wonderful and answered all our questions and showed us several rooms that were available. This is a beautiful all-inclusive resort facility with spa, salon, gym, sauna, steam room and transportation. We met the Michael who invited us to see his meditation class in the movie theater room! It was wonderful! Weekly room and linen cleaning is included and mailboxes located near the lobby. Mom loves veggie pizzas, so we ordered one for lunch in their bistro cafe. Maria was a wonderful server and so kind. I tried to pay for the pizza, but the facility has a no cash zone to protect the seniors. This is a beautiful place for my mom! Can't wait to have her living here! Thank you Kathleen, Maria and Michael in showing my mom such a wonderful place!
