This is an amazing community to live in. Very professional and personable staff. The maintenance team responds quickly and efficiently. The community is very well maintained inside and outside. We have an abundance of amenities. And we have daily, weekly, and monthly events including a weekly happy hour 🍻. I definitely recommend living in this fantastic community!

So, let me say that this place is amazing! It's not a retirement village; it's an active community for seniors. They have so many activities for the residents that, aside from dining, there's virtually no reason to leave the complex. There's a movie theater, a library, a woodworking shop, a gym, indoor swimming pool, a pub, a card room, a pool room, a game room, craft room, and a kitchen/dining area for having families for gatherings. They also have an internet cafe, a dog park, a BBQ area, a fire pit, and a gardening area. Everything is designed for the aging. The spaces and doorways even in the apartments are perfect for wheelchairs and scooters. It has been designed for maintaining independence and keeping active. They have also thought about convenience. The mailboxes are inside, so residents never have to worry about the weather when getting their mail. And, while all those things are great, it's really the staff that makes this place the best choice for aging folks with different abilities. I am so at ease knowing that if my mother needs anything, they are always there to help. And, anyone who has been a caregiver knows exactly how important that peace of mind is. There is only one issue I wish they would fix, and it's that the shower doesn't drain properly. Even after a weekend away, there was still water in the bottom of the shower. So, every day you're stepping into a cold puddle of water to get a shower. ***Other than that minor inconvenience, I've never had a better apartment experience than here at Affinity. My mother is happy, and I can honestly say that I am, too. Kudos to the staff for all that they do! ***Please note that the internet is awful!

I gave this 4 stars because there's great qualities in this place when I visited. However, I say this with much respect, I kind of understand that having a bar at your complex in some ways can make people happy and bring some fun into their life. However what is concerning is there's people who don't know enough about the quality of health in a senior or older person, they don't know their issues physically, mentally or emotionally nor if they could have alcoholism. Anyone could be suffering from something emotionally or mentally and could cause terrible drama to themselves or others in public or in private. Yet even though it's never happened there, it doesn't mean it could or couldn't or also affect person's psyche. Alcohol might bring more depression to people. So I don't think it's good for people to have a bar in a senior place or a diverse age community. It's a possibility that it's out there but I've never heard of even a diverse age community having that. Actually I was very surprised I saw that I've never seen that anywhere. There is enough out in the world where we're already dealing with enough of that negatively. I read in a couple of reviews that there's partying pretty late there and it's not allowing people to rest. It may not also be allowing the people who are drinking to have a balanced life and rest. I think that if they have the same kind of events and foods they already have without a bar, it would be just as good and it would be healthy. People all have enough with eating junk food and dealing with other health or emotional issues. Above all I just don't think it will allow people to be in peace spiritually. Because I believe that drinking alcohol can also cause a lot of negative things happening spiritually in the environment and to people. Especially those who are spiritual in a sense where they have a close relationship with God. Drinking can interfere with that. What's sad is these people are used to having that bar and if it's taken away from them some of them unfortunately won't like that. Something that I believe they didn't have to get used to. I certainly hope they can for their sake and their families and they or no one is liable for that. Believe me I don't want anything to be taken from anyone and I want them to be happy but in this case I really feel that they will be happy and to be able to have more peace and happiness having a healthy environment and well-being by practicing healthy habits. Why not have a place that allows people to mentally and emotionally and physically learn how to take care of themselves at an older age and to be happier and healthier where it can prolong their life. Maybe even have a couple of pool tables, hockey, centipede, dancing music, and a couple of TVs to make it feel like a little bar atmosphere but without the drinking and so they won't miss feeling like they're not able to get out anywhere but at least they have this fun environment without alcohol. Maybe even have a spiritual place to go to if they want to just have peace. I'm not saying drinking is bad, for some, drinking in moderation can be very relaxing and fun. And I'm sure you're probably bring some of these people Joy and socializing but we don't know if people can abuse that especially those that have a drinking problem. Sure they might abuse drinking at home privately but at least it's not in front of them in public where there are temptations. If I end up feeling that I was wrong about this then I will certainly apologize and even now before hand, but I feel strongly about this at this time. So when I say this please understand that I mean this with all respect but I am looking out for the seniors and the elderly there. Thank you for reading.

I was amazed at how beautiful and clean this place is. I was visiting my cousin and she showed us around. She was so proud of her new place she calls her home. We had a great visit and enjoyed the facility. I highly recommend it to my friends if they say they are looking for a place to live. I know my cousin Jane is living in a safe beautiful place. I plan to visit her real soon. Norma Flores
