Addington place recently has remodeled much of the campus and the updates are beautiful! The memory care is an open layout and allows room for Residents to walk around. There are so many activities for Residents to participate in, such as bingo and gardening. The chef makes homemade soup for an appetizer at meals. The Residents are like one big family and truly care about each other. The staff go above and beyond to take care of the Residents in a personalized way. I have seen the Executive Director come in on her time off to sit with a Resident who needed extra care or help staff get a Resident into the shower. I have seen the Community Relations director come in on off hours to give families a tour or take a call to answer their questions at any time of day. Management does not hesitate to jump on the floor and help out wherever they are needed, even if it is not their department! I have never seen teamwork be so prominent in a facility before.

The facility management team is an invaluable asset to our community at Lake side Vista. Their dedication to our residents is truly inspiring. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure our residents’ needs are met, always with a warm smile and a kind word. Their positive attitude and compassionate care have made a significant difference in the lives of our residents. The team members all work together as a team and help each other out when help is needed.

I have worked at Addington Place for almost 3 1/2 years and thoroughly love and enjoy our residents. The campus is beautiful and there have been vast improvements made to many of our neighborhoods. The team members are caring and love their residents as family members. I have been able to experience new challenges with opportunities to learn from our residents. I truly love what I do and I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work at Addington Place.

As someone who has worked here for about 4 months I’d give it a 4 star. Some staff were amazing and some weren’t but that’ll be everywhere you go honestly! Every place has its ups and downs. On the other hand I am still waiting for an apology from Natalie Woods due to having me eat something I wasn’t aware of lol (The review of the incident is written on here already). Despite that I did like coming here to work. Loved my kitchen staff, especially Julie and Maria! They deserve a lot more recognition than they get. Will I come back? Maybe, but some management would have to change in the kitchen before that happens. I do think Sean would be amazing fit. With the boss they have in the kitchen isn’t working to well, and I don’t even mean to be rude about it. It’s just she’s never there for one, she doesn’t train the cooks like as she should be, and she’s also supposed to come in when they’re low on servers but does she ever? From what I experienced, no. The cooks, Sean, Gloria, Maria, and Donyae are amazing! And they learned it from each other! Not because of the boss. Sean comes in early every time to help Gloria because she wasn’t properly trained and that is boss material of him!! Recently Gloria had no servers in the morning and she had to do EVERYTHING by herself in the kitchen! She deserves RECOGNITION FOR THAT!!! Despite the negatives I swear when I woke up in the morning I wasn’t miserable to come into work. I just wish Natalie would show her face more and connect with us instead of rarely coming in at all. Due to me being sick one weekend I ended up working 3 weekends in a row. Didn’t complain because I enjoyed my paycheck but us people do have lives too. I actually applied for part time and ended up having full time hours after working there a couple weeks, So make it clear about how many hours you want! Anyways, I liked working here and I do really hope something improves while I’m gone.
